Deshiel Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 If you chose the right options Valkorion tells you that he was always part of you and he is "now" more so than ever. Later he says the non option relevant phrase that you are a part of him that he wishes to keep. It made me think about possibilities like him being our ancestor throught possesion of bodies. Or by his children imbued with his will. Or what else could he possibly mean by always being a part of us even before kotfe?
Joachimthbear Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 (edited) It's very hard to tell what parts of what Valkorion is saying are true and which are lies. I can think of a few possible ways this could be true, in varying degrees of unsettling. Theory One: You are a child of the Emperor. But the Jedi Consular caught the First Son... right? What if you are the real First Son/Daughter? Vitiate knew that his secret was out and so he allowed some of his Children to be unmasked to keep the rest hidden, including the one who became the Outlander. The Children and the apparent First Son were unaware of their status as sleeper agents, and did not remember their own induction. And the Emperor can possess one of his Children at any time. Theory Two: Vitiate's planned apotheosis half-succeeded and he is now synonymous with the Dark Side of the Force. The slightest slip, the merest moment of weakness, of temptation by the Dark Side, and Vitiate is part of you. And every single mortal being has those moments. Theory Three: Vitiate's essence has fragmented, and you have been carrying around a fragment for some time. Vitiate may have decided to hedge his bets and place pieces of himself inside various powerful people, including his own children as Valkorion (explaining their vast power), and you. He could have done this to the Warrior or Knight at their respective first meetings with him, and to anyone else on Yavin or Ziost. This could also be true at the same time as theory one: maybe every Child of the Emperor has a fragment of the Emperor's spirit sitting at the back of their mind. Perhaps the three children of the Emperor really are Children of the Emperor. Theory Four: Valkorion's lying, he's interested in you for a different reason. Your status as the Main Character is not just plot convenience; you are a Force anomaly, destined for great things, and the storyline moulds itself around you because the Force wills it. Valkorion knows that your plot armour... uh, destiny is more powerful than all the Force Lightning in the galaxy, and plans to harness your unique properties for his own ends. NyalDeus Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Vishy is mostly being metaphorical when he says this, as due to all the times we've thrown wrenches into his plans (directly or otherwise), he regards the PC as his 'fated nemesis': the Sherlock to his Moriarty, and can no longer imagine his life with out our presence in it. He assumes we feel the same. Of course, if you submit to his influence a few times to many the "I am You, and You are Me" shtick he's peddling stops being metaphor and becomes very, very literal.
Morrolan Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 Theory Four: Valkorion's lying, he's interested in you for a different reason. Valkorion knows that your plot armour... uh, destiny is more powerful than all the Force Lightning in the galaxy, and plans to harness your unique properties for his own ends. I think something like this is probably most likely given all the allusions to fate and destiny in the storyline.
