Master-Nala Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 (edited) OK, in general I like the KOTFE story. I like many of the new mechanics around the Alliance. What I don't relish is the idea of taking my 29 high level characters through the story. Right now I'm thinking 3. But the question I'm wondering is whether SWTOR will leave you behind in the long run if you don't do the KOTFE story. With ROTC and SOR, if you don't do them, you miss out on some lore, but you can jump right into KOTFE and not miss much. There's nothing special about those two expansions that lingers with your character. Well, obviously, KOTFE changes that considerably. Your roster of companions changes drastically, and your role in galactic politics changes as well. I'm hoping that once this storyline comes to an end we won't find ourselves stuck having to catch up. Edited November 2, 2015 by Master-Nala

Master-Nala Posted November 2, 2015 Author Posted November 2, 2015 We're really not going to have an answer to that until the next expansion is launched I know. I was mostly hoping that the community team might see this and at least put a bug in the developer's ear. I just couldn't bring myself to do one of those "ERIC MUSCO RESPOND TO ME NAO!!!" titles.
Shipwright Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 Wondering this as well. I like the changes to the game overall, but I am not sure how far I am going to go with this Alliance thing. It might become far to tedious for my taste. I really do not know how many characters I'll take though it yet. For that matter, I do know how much I'll be gimped if I don't do much Alliance stuff either. I'll have fun in either case. Yet I would like to know the ramifications of not doing Kot6FE and of limited participation in the Alliance aspect.
