Bit of a balance issue...

So since 4.0 it seems the fotm team is 2 AP pt's and 1 pt tank and 1 sorc healer...

 

Anyone else find that this comp is abit TOO much on the silly side?

 

PT just seems to have too much utility...

 

Pull, Leap, Taunts, Aoe Hardstun. and not to mention the ability to do 80k burst.

 

 

Kinda noticing a trend in team ranked.... PT or go home.

The only thing wrong with PTs in team ranked is the 3 sec aoe hard stun IMO. Nothing wrong with the burst, many classes can outdps an ap pt easily.

 

No, not really. AP can't be kited, interrupted (except dfa), LOSed, cc and globalled, or AOEd down. Pyro has carbonize, but that's still pretty bad.

Lol no, the only reason why PT is OP in team ranked is bcs double carbo, it does a 6sec (with the utility taken) hardstun to all of the players if you pull them in, do this every 1 mins and rip enemy team. + they also have 4 sec (with the utility taken) hardstun aswell, pts just have overpowered hardstuns. And u can quite easily global a PT in a hardswitch. So imo they should make carbo a 6 sec AoE stun which breaks on dmg taken.

PT-s not OP for grp, their burst is fine, Double carboniz is ok, sorc healing output is fine, OP ur are mad and drunk go home. Why every 1 choise this setup? Coz this is the most balanced comp. End of thread. Edited by helpmewin

You don't need balance for 'story'. Its been this way for a long time and since these are the only two classes the devs do play, when they grace themselves in testing, it won't be changed any time soon.

I'm well aware of how triple PT works in 4s, my team and I play against it all the time. My point is that pyro spec can do the same thing with carb, but is considered UP. It is the combination of overpowered and uncounterable damage, passive defensive talent, AND carbonize, that make AP so ridiculous.

 

And wait, you want to turn carb into awe? Lol no ty.

Because class homogenization is bad? Warriors have been pretty atrocious in general for a while now, but at least they're the only one with a character-centered aoe mezz, (as opposed to the target-centered flash of ops). You want to take away the only reason to play a warrior? Don't change carb; it's obviously not making pyro OP. Just nerf AP itself.

You have not met yet 2 sorc (1 dps, 1 heal) sniper and one of the other - not important which class - the first three will do all the work.

And you have not played 4s against a competent team
