Daniellcarlson Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 day light savings time happens and my internet on this comp stopped working. but internet works and veryified through other devices. netflix on wii, other comp. i did some trouble shooting on my network card and an error came up said the computer time was different than the network time<not exactly sure the exact error, but something similar>. my computer went back 1 hour like it was suppose to. went into bios setting and up' d it one hour and rebooted and internet on this comp works now. set the time on my desktop clock back one hour and rebooted and everything still works. only thing that has changed on my comp is i bought an SSD and reinstalled windows 7. will change the cmos battery anyways when i get home. assuming the battery is still good, but comp is about 2-3 years old. why did this happen and how do i stop it from happening again?
Jarvus Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 Set your operating system to automatically adjust for daylight savings time, presumably. I'm assuming you must have turned that off at one point. It's usually on by default. I had some issues that I thought were related to a failed motherboard battery but it really wasn't the case. I'd bet it's not the case in your case either.
