Rise of the Hutt Cartel is next in line, starting with the terminal on your ship.

 

Considering that everything gives XP with level sync, you could just go back to planets and do missions you skipped the first time through or run flashpoints or operations if you wanted to.

You would then go to Makeb, Oricon, SoR and then the new expack. You should be able to access makeb from a terminal on your ship. You could also do heroic weeklies on planets for money and exp as well as loot.

Your ship's mission terminal should point you in the right direction

 

Ilum -> Makeb (RotHC) -> Oricon -> SoR Prelude -> Rishi -> Yavin 4 -Ziost -> KotFE (down the rabbit hole with no looking back)

 

There are a couple of daily areas you can avoid (at 50) Section X & Blackhole , & (at 55) CZ-198

 

Makeb now requires level 51 (god only knows why, it used to be 47+)

If you don't care about the story, you can try getting into some ops. We had a guy the other night that gained 3 levels on one op.

Once you are level 50, Head to fleet and look for people spamming LFM {Raid name} SM or GF ( Story mode/Group finer) and whisper them, let them know what class you are and what spec you are running, also let them know your there for the exp and want to learn. Best way to get kudos and into an op to start learning end game and easy leveling.
