xxxquarkxxx Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 Display looks very bad. Looks like 3D without glasses. Any help on what settings I need to use?
xxxquarkxxx Posted November 1, 2015 Author Posted November 1, 2015 I never turned that on. I've been having this problem for a long time and haven't played for a while as a result.
OwenBrooks Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 I have seen this turn on after driver updates , so if it looks like 3D without glasses that may be why
xxxquarkxxx Posted November 1, 2015 Author Posted November 1, 2015 That took care of it, thanks. I don't know how it got turned to 3D. It's still laggy as heck. Any tips on how to deal with that?
OwenBrooks Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 First suggestion would be to turn just shadows to low in-game , I would also go into Windows Services and disable the NVidia Streaming Service.
xxxquarkxxx Posted November 1, 2015 Author Posted November 1, 2015 (edited) Sorry, I'm not much of a computer person. How do I do that? Checked and Shadow is set to Off. Edited November 1, 2015 by xxxquarkxxx
OwenBrooks Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 (edited) This may help http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/2495-services-start-disable.html just need to find Nvidia Streamer Service in the list Edited November 1, 2015 by OwenBrooks
xxxquarkxxx Posted November 1, 2015 Author Posted November 1, 2015 Thanks, but that web site won't help. I am using Windows 10.
OwenBrooks Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 Much the same press the windows key and type services.msc In game try disabling scale nameplates with distance that may help if getting stutters
OwenBrooks Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 (edited) One important one is to confirm that windows power options are set to "High Performance" do you know if this is the case ? See - http://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/2843-power-plan-settings-change-windows-10-a.html Edited November 1, 2015 by OwenBrooks
xxxquarkxxx Posted November 2, 2015 Author Posted November 2, 2015 Wow, that is really complicated! Plus, it seems to be for laptops. I am using a desktop computer.
xxxquarkxxx Posted November 2, 2015 Author Posted November 2, 2015 Much the same press the windows key and type services.msc In game try disabling scale nameplates with distance that may help if getting stutters The Windows key only brings up a little box that looks like the old starting screen. I don't see anywhere to type.
xxxquarkxxx Posted November 24, 2015 Author Posted November 24, 2015 Thanks for the help on the 3D thing. Still experiencing major lag.
xxxquarkxxx Posted November 25, 2015 Author Posted November 25, 2015 Any new advice concerning lag issues?
OwenBrooks Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 Wow, that is really complicated! Plus, it seems to be for laptops. I am using a desktop computer. this applies to desktops as well The Windows key only brings up a little box that looks like the old starting screen. I don't see anywhere to type. try windows key + R then type services.msc find the Nvidia streamer service and disable it.
xxxquarkxxx Posted November 28, 2015 Author Posted November 28, 2015 this applies to desktops as well Okay, finally figured out how to do this one. Unfortunately, my computer apparently only has Balanced and Power Saver options. try windows key + R then type services.msc find the Nvidia streamer service and disable it. Okay, this worked, but I don't see NVIDIA streamer service. What it show is NVIDIA Display Driver Service and NVIDIA Stereoscopic 3D Driver Service. Which one is it? And what, precisely, will this do to my computer?
