donkeykongsr Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 The title says it all... When switching from tank to dps spec and back again, I have to go through the process of resetting my action bars every time. This becomes problematic on fights like underlurker where it really makes since to have 1 tank go dps. We spend a lot of wasted time doing the field respec to dps, and then back to tank after the fight. I don't mind hard fights with tight enrage timers, or fights where there's a lot of stuff going on that you have to pay attention to, but the extra downtime in respecing is just unneeded and I'll never know why it was taken out of the game in the first place. On a similar note, i do appreciate the fact I can change stances and do some dps now.
Daewan Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 Dual* Yes, it would be cool. I could wait until they fix some other things, though. It's not that important to me (also a tank).
TheUndyingCorpse Posted May 16, 2019 Posted May 16, 2019 To be able to save the action-bar layout when we do change from spec to spec. I don't think we will get see this happen in our life time but sure would be nice.
SteveTheCynic Posted May 17, 2019 Posted May 17, 2019 More useful would be *build templates*, where I can save off a layout that applies to, say, Gunnery Commando, and load it at any time to change a Commando to Gunnery with the utilities I want, or even a Merc to Arsenal with the equivalent utilities, and lay out the quick bars as well. And then when I want to go Assault Specialist instead, I load the template for that.

That's an excellent idea and I'm sure many people who play dual role classes [DPS/Heals, DPS/Tank] would be very grateful for that kind of setup. Even pure DPS classes could find that useful if the player enjoys switching specs for certain content/bosses which is the case sometimes. Very good idea Steve. - Not surprising coming from the Guru of Star Wars Land himself. Edited May 17, 2019 by WayOfTheWarriorx
SteveTheCynic Posted May 17, 2019 Posted May 17, 2019 Very good idea Steve. - Not surprising coming from the Guru of Star Wars Land himself. Actually, it comes from my time playing Guild Wars 1, where the build you used was very, very sensitive to situations, especially in the higher-level content, and this feature was more or less essential. Doing *that* map? Load the anti-enchantment build. Doing *this* map? Load a build with good speed boosts. Doing *Augury Rock*? Load the special gimmick build because of the weird rules of the mission.
Nemmar Posted May 17, 2019 Posted May 17, 2019 I don't even ask for a system like wow... but saving the hotbar layout per spec is a must. It's really annoying to be clicking around and changing their position when you change and when you go back.
