Hello, i am returning to the game and have just started forged alliances. But as a lvl 57 i have 34k hp and the enemies have like 10k. I am able to kill silvers and golds in less than 5 seconds. It seems way too easy.

Well, you can start playing blindfolded. Or with one hand. Or go and do something else while the game is played for you.

And sadly, that was only half a joke

In a word, yes.

4.0 added a "simple & easy" mode to the game. There is no challenge levelling up from 1-65. With the new companion system it'll be a walk in the park.

Loads of commendations flying around and no need to "gear your companion" means there is no grind in early levels, the companion will mean you can easily solo....well everything, including the heroics.

Run tactical flashpoints as soon as you can - you'll get grouped with players a lot higher, be bolstered and the XP will roll in.

Once you reach the very high levels, chose a "main companion" and gift them plenty - once they reach level 20 affection they become gods - so the rest of the content is suddenly no challenge.

So yes, it is extremely easy these days.

Been this way for a long while, nothing new here. Leveling content was stupidly easy long before 4.0, I'm not sure why all the complaining now.

On the up side, Flashpoints are now much harder than they used to be.

I agree. The leveling in this game has become almost trivial these days but as others have said, it was never difficult to do in the first place. The game is more about the story than it is about the leveling.

Because it's even easier now

I can attempt to answer that.

While, yes you are right in that it was easy before, it was still technically lose-able. If you just stood there, your companion would die, and then you would die. Thus, when your action is needed to triumph, and you do triumph, even if its easy, you still technically accomplished something. You still actually had to *win.*

Now, the game plays itself. I'll stroll into a fight, put my hands into my pockets, and my companion will take out everything without dropping below 95% health while my character stands there stone still watching. If I throw a couple attacks in, the fight is over in seconds.

You're right in that there wasn't challenge before, but at least there was the illusion of adversity. Now, even that is gone, and the game is a joke.

Play as a DPS, with DPS companion. It's not so easy, pull one extra group because of knockbacks or something and you are toast usually. Large groups require you to be extremely efficient with killing or you will die too, ignoring the weak mobs while you try to knock down that gold or champ is a recipe for disaster.

no , while the game is easy early on it should be allows the casual market they are trying to bring in to get into the game faster . The hardmode content , ops , and end level heroics still pose a challenge unless you have max prestige nous from datacrons and rank 50 influence , and if you have that you ground enough other challenges to earn the easy mode you get at the end.

Problem with that idea bud, is how many of the casuals that come in are actually gonna start at level 1...how many are gonna buy a level 60....I got a feeling the buy level 60 crowd are gonna be the winners...

I dont know I let my 6 year old niece play one of my toons last night...cause she likes Star Wars, and she likes watching me play my MMO's...

She played my lvl 55 Hunter, with a lvl 20 influence Mako...I sat and read a book while she pulled mobs on her...didnt die...finally she got bored and I got to play some more...Win for Her, Win for me...

I am a DPS guardian using Kira as a DPS spec. The game is wayyyy to easy now. Kira with influence of 11 has 46k HP! I mean cmon I have 20k HP it's completely broken. I miss when I actually needed to care what I attacked with and not just sit there and let my companion kill 4 golds.

Might help if you gear yourself better, I've never had Kira outdps me anywhere, and got her influence over 15 now. Even at level 65, she's only got 13k more hp than me, and while she does have 1k more mastery, I have 2k more power (and I could have 1k more power and the same mastery if I switched my pvp gear from power augs to mastery augs).

In 216 PvE gear, I would probably have more of everything except maybe hp.

I agree, they've managed to brake the game with 4.0. The companion role change is the best thing they've brought with the update, they should have let them receive bonuses from their gear however. Other bad but important changes to mention:

- Heroics, they are your gear-up bread and butter, extremely easy and will always grant you great rewards, if it were for me, I would totally remove them. They have no place now in 4.0 as crafting was correctly improved + we still need to do something with the greens that drop right?

- Experience gain: now I am not a fan of grinding, but still, getting to lvl 65 is a joke, leveling itself should be at least a minor challenge. The solution that I would propose is to lower the exp gain from all sources by a balanced percent, especially now that they've introduced lvl 60 tokens for those who wish to rush through the game. This way we could make room for the secondary quests and use them to level, get some green gear, do some random flashpoints to help with the gear and missing exp, and enjoy all the story as it was supposed to.

- Properly rebalance the strength of enemy NPC's or all kinds. The thing is, with or without companions I still find myself cutting through enemy flesh (or steel lol) like butter, they need to get some resistance and damage fixes. I think they didn't calculate the level adjustment to well.

The challenge for questing, gearing and leveling was a major thing for me in swtor, now with 4.0 that thing is gone and I hardly find reasons to stick to the game anymore, I hope they will fix at least some of the issues mentioned here.

Well after having played the game to level 36 and having just read this thread I am actually asking for my subscription money back. For sure I have little chance but guys this just isn't easy its UNPLAYABLY easy. What I mean is there is NO gameplay. Turn up, pull as many mobs as you want, go make a cup of tea while your companion deals with it. Terrible gameplay, well as I just said it is so bad gameplay is not the word I would use.

I am hard pushed to think of worse and I am an old git pc player who has been playing pc games since 1980.

only KotFE and KotET chapters are any kind of challenge in Veteran and more so Master modes. The class story part is easy as pie now and meant more for the choices, experiencing the story and getting familiar with your class. Once you reach endgame though its decent between Ops, Starfighter, Warzones etc. You could technically play through it without a companion (or with companion on "passive" for the conversations) for some extra difficulty.

same here. this is my un-sub reason. Will come back if I hear that they repaired the leveling game.

Not sure how, but I can post here even without an active sub
