I mean... there are still modifications. 2 crystals at a time. is this honestly intentional? given that we had a pvp method of transferring commendations added to the game.... why was the pve method essentially removed? what is so terrible about being able to transfer the most basic of crystals (you know, former basic commendations) or am I missing something and there's still a way to do that that is not the tedious: "must have your legacy story pretty much empty and tediously buy/vendor back modifications, 2 crystals at a time?

I'd say it's intentional, especially the way common data crystals drop like rain from quests. Just do... anything really, and you'll be overflowing. I've already had to buy a bunch of decos to just avoid going over the cap on several toons that aren't even 65 yet.

I've already had to buy a bunch of decos to just avoid going over the cap on several toons that aren't even 65 yet. they might be overflowing but I need them on specific character, in part because I'm not ready to take others through KOTFE storyline again and I'd like to be able to buy gifts/supply boxes off Odissen cantina vendor. either way, overflowing crystal is not IMO a good justification to nerf ability to transfer them between characters like that. especially given improvement to quality of life when it comes to warzone commendations. I've done more looking around and it looks like modifications is currently the only way. sigh. yet another thing to dislike about this expac.

You are supposed to spend more time with your alts running heroics etc. in order to get basic crystals and whatnot. Apparently, many players love it like this. As for me, I completely stopped playing with my alts since 4.0 hit and realised what it is all about. I only use one char now since this is how the game is meant to work now.
Feluka Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 In Odessen there's a merchant in the headquarters which sells pets and stuff. You can put those in the legacy bank and sell it. I think they're around 100-200 common crystals, so it's way easier than to do it with mods @_ @

Can't access Odessen on the alts she wants to move the crystals off of.

You don't have to do the KotFE storyline to gain access to Odessen. You can get their on your Spaceship at 3k credits a go. Or purchase the legacy unlock QT at 200k credits. You will not be able to get into the instanced area (where the alliance specialists are) or run the starfortresses. But, you do have access to the Planetary Heroics terminal and more importantly the Cantina gift vendor. I've only run KotFE on one character. I think they're around 100-200 common crystals, so it's way easier than to do it with mods @_ @ also. those are bound on legacy. and apparently as long as they still have a timer? becasue they are bound on legacy, you can't put them into the legacy bank. and.. mailing removes the timer. there's also BoL decorations vendor on the fleet. which at first made me happy, and then I tried putting that BoL deco into legacy bank... and met with disappointment. the grind is the reason why I want to transfer up my crystals. aside from not being ready (maybe ever) to take some of the characters through KOTFE story, I really really don't feel like repeating that grind more then once. and even now, I'm mostly doing it to get Fortress legacy achievements. at this point, the most fun I'm having is playing with strongholds, and Fortress has a lot of new decorations I want to play around with. all those other alts are sitting on a whole bunch of crystals I could be using to speed up the grind on my main... except... I cannot. tinfoil hat wearing me is starting to think that maybe that is why they restricted those crystal transfers. not that it makes sense in a long run.. since the longer you make that initial grind, the less likely it is that people would want to do it more then once. just another one of those 180 flips of the game direction... you know the game where reputations etc are legacy wide (at least the ones pre 4.0 ) - making them much more pleasant to earn.

I bought one pet and could put it immediately in the legacy bank and sell it on another character ~

Something to test You get them, I got a bunch in my legacy bank now because I've been picking the heroics up from the terminals on planets to level from 60-65.

They can use the Weekly Heroic terminal but the rewards are different, they get common crystals and a choice of crate for levelling gear (not sure how needed that is given the speed of level up). The 65's get the regular mission reward.

Refund back to the vendor on a different toon. They have a refund timer, as long as you trade them back before that timer expires, you'll get the full comm cost refunded.

I just tried it, and "lost" 80 common crystals as a result. Was it the "smuggled" vendor?

However, you can have them buy the Odessen legacy transport for 200k if they are level 55+ and you can do it that way (that is the way I bought many of mine). The gift could only be sold back for 2k credits, and the vendor wouldn't even take the crate back. Am I using the wrong vendor? They don't bind and have a 2 hour refund timer. yep. 2 crystals at a time. which is just high annoying and tedious when you are trying to transfer something like 800 crystals. I followed Vhaegrant's advice and took couple of lvl 60ties to Odissen on their ship and was able to buy the supply crates I needed (thankfully). didn't try it with characters under 60. I haven't tried the transfer downward idea with a pet inside the instanced area, but I HAVE tried with BoL decoration from the fleet vendor that DOES have a refund timer and I was NOT able to put it in a legacy bank. kept getting message "this item is bound" as for doing weeklies for crates? I was trying to speed up the grind. not merely continue it.

It was a misunderstanding. I thought they were outlining a way to transfer common crystals, not a way to save them on one character by buying the rep items on another.
