runar_smugler Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 I am knows to macro ****loads of skills together...In wow I macro 18 skills into 5 buttons and it worked wonders.. I see we have alot of skills in swtor and I was thinking about doing the same here.....CAN we macro skills together?
GavinBail Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 Macros are expressly forbidden under the Terms Of Service. One Click = One Action is pretty key here. So you could (as I understand it, someone please correct me if I'm wrong I don't mess with things like this) program a macro to interpret you typing 1-1-1-1-1 into 1-2-3-4-5, which should be within the limits of the ToS. Honestly it is more trouble than it is worth since there is no program native to SWTOR to do it.

As someone who has movement issues, I had this discussion with staff when I first started playing. Even I am not allowed to use macros to provide myself equal access to the game.

But one click one skill is the only thing they want. ..and using Five skills by pressing the same button Five times does not go against the rules as stated

That sounds pretty close to a macro to me. I'd just be careful, it's not worth getting yourself flagged (in game or over the forums) and having your account compromised over, in my opinion. If I'm not allowed to use a support device to even access the game and bring myself up to the same level as other players, you're not going to be allowed to do what you're wanting to.
