I hope Bioware considered alternate methods later after the Rakghoul event ends but that may be wishful thinking and most likely Lokin remain a exclusive to players who took part in the Rakghoul events.

As far as we know you only need to get into the tunnels, scan 4 locations and leave. Even if you will have to kill some mobs there, is that a huge undertaking?
Kayriel Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 I think he was asking from the point of view of a person who knows that the events don't happen on a regular basis , like the bounty contract week and it would be anoying to decide you want to get that companion and to have to wait for the event like 3 months before you can have the guy , since the event isn't going to happen , which i kind of agree with.

OK I will admit here I have never participated in the Rakghoul event, in part as I could never be bothered to keep injecting myself with the cure after picking it up (I always avoided the planet it was on and the fleet too). As for the rest of Lokin's requirements dulfy has them listed as gain 10K influence by giving him: Bring Lokin supplies until he reaches Influence Level 10 (10k influence) Anodyne Extract x24 = 300 influence Metamorphic Cell Cultures x24 = 300 influence Hemostatic Gel x20 = 300 influence Autoimmune Regulators x12 = 300 influence Exotic Plague Specimen x1 = 500 influence Barnacle of the Eyeless x1 = 4000 influence (can be only turned in once) Where do these come from exactly I think the eyeless is from the Rakghoul event but not sure on the others?

You will get those from Biochem salvaging. Salvage them or buy them from other players in the market. That part is quite easy but costly or time consuming based on your method of obtaining the item. Ya been gone since the Hunt Cartel expansion so never got a chance to take part in these events but that is not the concern I have with this requirement. Seems a bit Excessive to have a Companion require a limited time event to obtain. Not to mention not everyone will have time to take part in it due to their daily life or other reasons. Alternatively they could of had the requirements as choices on how to obtain Doc Lokin being the material gathering path as the longer more costly path but open to all players at all time and Rakghoul event as the more easy but limited time path to obtain Lokin. It was already bad enough they locked Lokin's quest behind completing Qyzen's Go kill World Bosses quest already. I will certain find time for the Rakghoul event but as I said not everyone will find the time to take part in such a event for different reasons. Edited October 30, 2015 by EdwinLi
Asheris Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 Somewhere on the forums there is a detailed schedule of upcoming events, the rakghoul one is regular on that list so if you miss it in November you will have a chance in a month or two. He is not a vital companion, world will not end as far as I know. Events last a week so it's plenty of time to log in for 20-30min and do the quest
