peparde Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 so i hear that chapter 10 will be only released at january?.....seriously? i dont think ''soon'' means 2 months later soon means ....well...soon like a close date not months away, anyways if thats the case i dont see why we should stay subs for those 2 empty months thats why i decided its not worth spending my money on 2 empty grind fest months im unsubscribing untill january because....well you know....why even bother?unless the january date is just rumors and the real date is actually much ''sooner'' ugh i hate that word now, well then i will stay a sub just need an honest confirmation, because i am not gonna grind every day those chests from HC missions and do...well....practicly nothing

So yes its January. And that is soon actually its not like they can make a chapter every week.

The few that will anyway, many wont because they sub primarily to avoid the restrictions and other benefits. Of the few that opt to drop sub, many of them will sub in Jan. for the next chapter. Most of the rest will sub again within a few months later, especially once all the chapters are out. Before, to get a whole expansion, someone could pay 30 bucks and never sub. Now those that don't sub, but want the expansion will sub every few months or so at least.

Wslicer Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 There was a lot of interesting story in the first 9 chapters, but no terrible cliffhangers. Still I'm pretty eager to find out how the story plays out next year. When I finished 9 I really wanted to keep going, so I hope the wait means we get some meater chapters on the back half. Like some others, I can also use the downtime to work on my characters or focus on other interests.

I have now seen many things to do that we never had before. The new Alliance system will take time with many missions to cover. It seems as it will take more then just doing the first 9 chapters. They look to be just an introduction to what lies below. SO, I see me personally having many things to do until the next chapter comes ... But I don't think the majority of players have had the amount of time available to reach the point that you are at and certainly not on multiple characters. For those who play less frequently, January will probably be too soon for them to have their alliance built up. For everyone else, they'll keep grinding things out or doing PvP/PvE with their guild. The same things they've done between content updates for 4 years.

I would have liked her better if she at least had a reason for being a Sociopath, just because makes for a dull character.

I've not even started building my alliance, & with all the changes to the leveling system there's a LOT of content that I'll get to try for the first time. Mainly the 1-50 flashpoints....I've only done 4-5 of them. THAT alone will keep me subbed here for the foreseeable future. It's only $15....I spend more than that every day on food. I still haven't finished Witcher 3, done any of the dlc from DA:I, and I haven't even opened Arkham Knight yet. And that's just games...irl I've got plenty to do. It'll be January before you know it.

While it is good you are looking forward to new games, this is exactly the type of gamer they should not cater towards. The "I will leave as soon as something shiny is released" crowd will be the downfall of this game. This is why we need more than just story, so there wont be this point that everyone hits and says "now what" all the time. The new changes are great and all, but grinding the exact same flashpoint over and over for 2 months to grow your alliance is a bit tedious. And lets be real, even if you only play one character, one hour a day, you will be be done with the entire expansion, and the alliance missions within 2 weeks. And I am fairly certain that BW will not stick to their monthly schedule, just like they didn't stick to "choices matter" , just like they didn't stick to many MANY other promises they made over the years.
