What were you thinking when you tied an alliance recruiting mission to an event that happens only once every 6 months?

they released the schedule for the events, it happens Nov 10th I believe so about 2 weeks.

I don't have an issue with it.

They only thing I see that can possible be wrong with it is that its a current companion. So people going to feel slighted having to do this Rak event to get a companion they should already have. Bioware should have made a new companion. Same with the current PvP companion(s) and the PvE one. Those should have been new companions and if you want them you need to do the quests.

You never, ever have to do any missions to reclaim your own companion when you meet them in the story. There is an option on the bottom to tell them to come back without doing any missions. If you don't click it, that's on you, but the option is there. Of course, you miss out on the extra rewards and influence, too, but hey, it's your choice.

Yes and no. In the case of Xalek, you have to do a semi-elaborate mission in which the map trolls you just to speak with him. Though I do believe Inquisitors have an expedited process of what comes afterward; I just told him to kneel.

Yeah.. then either I'm bugged or something is wrong

My main is an IA..I got to Lokin at the end lf last week, (also did the same on my Sniper to make sure it wasn't a bug today) all options that were given to me regarding Lokin was to bypass his Rep.. I still have to wait for the Rak event to get him back

I even curiously went to the console today to see about unlocking the other comps early...all it unlocks them for is for crew missions only, you still have to wait for their "release" from the story/BW to actually call them out to use

well it did not even give me an option to opt out of the companion either, i would still have to do the mission as he would get you infected if you went to fight him. and of i did not attack i still have to agree to help him to progress further. there are no options to just refuse to recruit him in the mission anywhere.

I was irritated at first as well, but then when Doctor Lokin gave a very valid story reason as to why you need to do the event, I immediately understood.

As for unlocking companions at the terminal-they work properly. You just have to zone somewhere else and they're ready to be summoned.

Silly question, but how do you even talk to Dr Lokin? I've completed all the chapters on my BH, got the Alliance specialists to 6 influence, recruited Yuun, Xalek, Talos, Nico Okarr, talked to Pierce and Qyzen (didn't recruit them because of terrible requirements), but never got the Lokin quest or conversation.

It pops up after you have recruited or dealt with the ones you've done plus pierce and oyzen. So you won't get the quest until you have.

Thank you so much! I do feel a little overwhelmed, to be honest.

So to recruit Lokin, I have to do warzones AND kill world bosses (or wait in line for the kills on Hoth) and then wait several weeks for the next Rakghoul event - and repeat this on all my alts? Heck, even on my Agent, I'd have to wait for Pierce and Qyzen, and I just don't do warzones. Really doesn't sound like a smart decision, or alt-friendly one.

One or the other, the lokin mission pops up once you've finished one so long as the other is active.

From Dulfy:

Prerequisite: Acquired four companions from the alert system. Major Pierce/M1-4X will count as long as you talk to them even though you may not meet their requirements.

No. Qyzen is mandatory. Pierce/4-X just needs to to be talked to. Trust me, I thought PvPing to get Pierce instead of Qyzen would do it for me (and I don't like to PvP) and I was wrong. Qyzen's quest needs to be finished :/ Pierce you just needs to talk to.

No, Qyzen is not. Read the Dulfy guide. You only need to talk to them. I have both and did nothing with them Edited by Heilspawn

So the event that has more complaints than any other, well as events go its the only one that gets complaints is being made more frequent.

BW I REALLY HATE YOU AT THE MOMENT.

I talked with both. Lokin didn't pop up. I decided I'd rather have Pierce than Qyzen, so I PvP'd for the first time ever in this game and did the required warzones. Got Pierce. Lokin didn't pop up. I bit the bullet and did Qyzen's quest.

Lokin popped up.

Dulfy is wrong. Believe me, I checked and rechecked. All Dulfy says is that you only need to talk to PIERCE/M1-4X to get Lokin's alert. Dulfy says nothing about only having to talk to Qyzen.

Qyzen is mandatory to finish (and only talk to Pierce/M1-4X) to get Lokin's alert.

ETA: My husband has talked to both Qyzen and Pierce and he hasn't gotten Lokin's alert, so it's not just me.

How so? I have tried all 3 convo choices with Pierce, and all 3 drive me t PVP. What am I missing?

Do you have Qyzen? Pierce requires you to PvP to get him, but (according to Dulfy) you don't have to meet his requirements to get Doctor Lokin's alert.

When they make this event so I can kill the jerk standing at the GTN trying to infect me then I'll go get this companion

Eh, Rakghoul vaccine also works :)

ETA: Whether or not you get Doctor Lokin won't change the people trying to infect other at the GTN.

I do not have Qyzen yet...is that the requirement to get Pierce sans PVP? If so, how the heck do I get Qyzen? None of this stuff is very clear to me, but maybe I'm just looking in the wrong places to determine who to get 1st in order to unlock others.

No. The only way you can get Pierce sans PvP is if you're a Sith warrior because he's a former companion to that class. Everyone else has to PvP for him IF they want him. <---Pierce is not required (so far at least. There might be other companions that require Pierce to get THEIR alerts).

Qyzen needs you to hunt world bosses or 20 "Worthy Juggath Kills" which are found in certain areas on Hoth. OR, if your'e a former Consular, you automatically get him. <---Qyzen is required to get Doctor Lokin's alert.

This thread is about getting Doctor Lokin's (Agent's former companion) alert, which will not pop up until you finish Qyzen and have AT LEAST talked to Pierce. It's worth noting that Agents don't automatically get Doctor Lokin. They don't have to give him a crap ton of Bioanalysis supplies (they're automatically at Influence 10 with him), but they still have to do the Rakghoul event when it rolls around in November, with a good story reason attached to it.
