Pietrastor Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 It only makes sense now that he's our main Alliance Specialist to let us have the statue, instead of keeping it as 2.5 years old pre-order bonus.
Theeko Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 or they can just give a regular hutt trainer so it will still be unique but you can still train skills
Vankris Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 isn't there a malgus or satele shan statue that does the same thing?
Pietrastor Posted October 28, 2015 Author Posted October 28, 2015 (edited) or they can just give a regular hutt trainer so it will still be unique but you can still train skills NO! I only want the Good Doctor Illip to train me isn't there a malgus or satele shan statue that does the same thing? They're not relevant, Dr. Oggurobb is the main character now for all our characters Edited October 28, 2015 by Pietrastor
Jedi_riches Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 No I missed the pre-order bonus so I don't get it, I am fine with that. There is no need to give out a trainer statue for all.
Billupsat Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 NO! I only want the Good Doctor Illip to train me They're not relevant, Dr. Oggurobb is the main character now for all our characters He only trains winners of the Bao-Dur Science Prize who happened to have access to makeb from April to October 2013, all others are peons in his eyes.
Ketinvik Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 Let me preface my remarks by stating that I do not have the Oggurobb holostatue. Okay, that out of the way, how about...no. Skills auto-level now (excluding completely new ones) so you don't need a trainer every level anyway and there is a trainer standing near every class quest giver. The people who pre-ordered RotHC should get their special thing. If you want a holo trainer, buy the Malgus or Shan statue off the GTN.
RaiderMid Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 Meh, I would rather they made the trainer you can get from rep vendor legacy instead of character bound.
ScarletBlaze Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 Dr. Oggurobb is only one of the specialist we talk to so I don't see the point unless you want to make trainers of the other alliance specialists as well.
GelstonJ Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 I have the statue. I don't really care who has one. It is less useful then it used to be though... You no longer have to train ranks of skills, they automatically advance, so there is a lot less use of it now. Since 4.0 started, on my new characters, I've often forgotten to activate it and didn't realize I had new skills to train until I ran into one of the trainers and saw the plus sign.
Pietrastor Posted October 28, 2015 Author Posted October 28, 2015 The people who pre-ordered RotHC should get their special thing. Getting the statue 3 years earlier than (hypothetically) everyone else is not special enough?
GelstonJ Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 Getting the statue 3 years earlier than (hypothetically) everyone else is not special enough? I want more people to have them so we can make giant hutt walls.
azudelphi Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 (edited) Given the amount of time that has passed, I could see them making it available now. Especially since, as you've said, Dr. Oggurobb is now part of the Alliance. If not that item, then I would be okay with a new holo trainer. Idea. Bound to Legacy: Valkorian Trainer? I mean, he is the ghost in our head haha Edited October 28, 2015 by azudelphi
Theeko Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 I want more people to have them so we can make giant hutt walls. wish they would stay up for atleast 10 mins, so you can flood the fleet with them
Billupsat Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 Getting the statue 3 years earlier than (hypothetically) everyone else is not special enough? exclusive. pre-order. bonus. Its like going to an ice cream store and asking for a flavor they stopped carrying three years ago.
Psychopyro Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 Or they could just stick trainers everywhere in the story and make it completely useless... Oh wait, they already did that...
Jerqa Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 It only makes sense now that he's our main Alliance Specialist to let us have the statue, instead of keeping it as 2.5 years old pre-order bonus. This makes no sense to me *because* it was a pre-order item. People that pre-ordered got it. People that did not or didn't play back then, do not. I would never expect to get something that was a bonus for pre-ordering if I did not meet the qualifications for the promotion.
cubiehole Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 They should just remove the trainers now. It kind of made sense when you have to pay for upgrades, but now it's just a time sync.

XiamaraSimi Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 No I missed the pre-order bonus so I don't get it, I am fine with that. There is no need to give out a trainer statue for all. What he said, on all counts. I have Malgus & Satele to train if need be.
CrutchCricket Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 I have the Satele/Malgus holostatues so I don't really care. I do wish people would get off their high horse about exclusivity though (in general). You were given an incentive to preorder/pre-subscribe or otherwise do something that gave Bioware money or gave it to them ahead of schedules. You did not achieve a Nobel Prize or change the world. Your specialness is illusory. If someone else gets a Hutt trainer it does not besmirch your good name. Carry on. Otherwise, I make it a point to always click the Hutt trainers, regardless if I need them, purely for the "haha!" So having more of them around would be lulz, for me at least.
