PurpleCliff Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 Like every great MMO, SWTOR has a rockin' original soundtrack. It's a tad disappointing that it's gone fairly synthy in the last couple expansions, but it's still pretty darn great. Therefore isn't it just a no-brainer to release this music? I know some of the score was made available at launch, and there was a collector's edition CD (which I have), but it'd be absolutely awesome to have a nice big album available for all on CD/iTunes/GPlay/Spotify/etc. People love Star Wars music. And hey, I know it's unlikely, but if some of the KotOR/KotOR2 scores were bundled in that'd be super stellar, since they never got proper releases. A secondary reason that this'd be great is to find out more about who's behind the music. I'm surprised you guys don't share who's composing the new stuff at the moment! On WildStar we know it's Jeff Kurtenacker. But since launch who's been behind SWTOR's music? The music is so important! Well that's my simple suggestion/request. Regards, a soundtrack lover
Lunafox Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 I'm curious about he music too. Some of it is really beautiful. My favorite is what I call 'Theron's Theme' because it plays when he makes his appearance. It sounds a little...celtic-y which I really enjoy. I'd like to be able to download it and listen, it's such a nice piece of music.
Kheld Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 Good idea, a lot of ToR's music is VERY Star-Warsy, almost as if it had been written by Mr Williams himself. I have all the old game music from the CE, plus I did some searching & found some torrents of stuff not on the CD. I don't know if any of the recent music is available though.
Karellan Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 Signed. I would love for them to release the scores. I was just complaining to my wife tonight that they haven't done so. I've purchased every one of WoW's scores. I would love to purchase the ones for SWTOR!
-Shutterbug- Posted July 26, 2016 Posted July 26, 2016 type in "KOTFE soundtrack" on youtube, somebody has ripped several pieces from the game
Lord_Taurus Posted August 20, 2018 Posted August 20, 2018 2018, and still waiting for a proper release.
FlameYOL Posted August 20, 2018 Posted August 20, 2018 2018, and still waiting for a proper release. Bioware released KOTFE's soundtrack on their anniversary a few years ago... right before KOTET. Unfortunately they never released KOTET's soundtrack.
AlrikFassbauer Posted August 20, 2018 Posted August 20, 2018 I'd still like to buy the soundtrack on CD. I really don't like streaming or digital downloaded music. I'm too much analogue for that (and that even although CDs are digital ... ).
ceciltaru Posted August 20, 2018 Posted August 20, 2018 agreed. it would be so great if there was a place on the site to download the music from the game, especially the newer songs. say a new song or two was added to the latest update, and a month after, so people can experience it in game first, then the song is available on the site. based on the music video they did before launch, there seemed to be like 5 or 6 composers working on music. I'd love to get an update on who is still around, and who's creating the new tracks.

I mean we have it through other YouTube channels but the not official SWTOR channel.
Lium Posted August 20, 2018 Posted August 20, 2018 Slightly off-topic, but I'd like to hear some music from the new trilogy make into the game. Say what you want about the movies, but John Williams' score is awesome. Particularly The Spark from The Last Jedi soundtrack.
Paulsutherland Posted August 21, 2018 Posted August 21, 2018 The soundtrack has been the one great hing about all the expansions. When it comes to the music, Bioware never disappoints.
