annabethchase Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 So, for months many people whined about how being "the outlander" was going to be this horrible thing. Many people said it would be some huge thing that completely redefined who your character was. Many people pointed out that it was just going to be a way to address all 8 classes without having to redo the voice acting over and over. Just a good quick way to save a lot of repetition for voice actors. However, in reality, it was even less pivotal than nearly anyone predicted. I only remember hearing that title a handful of times at most. I hadn't even given it a second thought until I saw a promo email. So, is anyone willing to admit they overreacted to this one?
TroloALX Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 Ehm, They use the title "Outlander"; Almost everytime some badguy or new guy, even talks to you.
Eillack Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 Every other sentence has "Outlander" in it...it got old, pretty damn fast, tbh.
AngFour Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 (edited) I can understand the Zakuul people calling my characters that because they ARE outlanders in their eyes. Obviously "Commander" is what we'll be referred to for the most part. Which, for my Agent, was nothing new seeing as she's been called that from Makeb through Ziost (replacing "Agent" or "Cipher"). Lana even made a joke about it. "So, Commander, you're the new...well...Commander of the Alliance. Commander." I laughed at the lampshading. Edited October 28, 2015 by AngFour
Karkais Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 Ehm, They use the title "Outlander"; Almost everytime some badguy or new guy, even talks to you. It gets repeated in star fortresses a lot, via loudspeakers.
DarthKartus Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 Odd we don't have an Outlander title for our characters.
