DOHboy Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 after 4.0 came out the neglected to inform us that Flashpoints and Heroic missions will no longer give heroic loot! since we can't acquire custom loot without spending real money to get it. making a new character is no longer worth it because everyone will look the same:mad:. SO I WANT THIS THREAD TO GROW HUGE SO THEY WILL HAVE TO GIVE US BACK OUR LOOT SO REPLY AWAY!!!! not sure what you mean by "custom loot" you talking modifiable shells? what does any of that have to do with how chars look? cosmetic tab work just fine with any armor, doesnt need to be orange shells. in fact that was the main reason for putting IN the cosmetic tab, since if you found a piece of green armor you liked you could wear it without affecting stats.
Stingwen Posted October 27, 2015 Author Posted October 27, 2015 most green loot does not look very good and my complaint is that they took away a huge chunk of loot that was available just so they can make more money
Stingwen Posted October 29, 2015 Author Posted October 29, 2015 I love how the first answer I get is not what I asked for only those in favor of my suggestion please reply:)
Stingwen Posted October 29, 2015 Author Posted October 29, 2015 Come on people this is a serious issue! REPLYYYYYYY
Stingwen Posted October 31, 2015 Author Posted October 31, 2015 its been days I know I am not the only person who care about this:eek:
Altheran Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 (edited) You're not the only one. Flashpoint used to be the only source for lightsabers of the original design that did not have an alignment pre-requisite. And just for this, it was awesome. Now with the change, and planetary changes, they all disappeared, lightsabers, guns, armors, with or without alignment. Personally I saw it coming so I looked for one of those lightsabers in FP, which happens to be light-only otherwise for my Dark Sith. But it sucks for those who didn't and for future players who might like one of the older items. They can come as empty shells, I don't care, having them back in a way or another would be welcome. Merwanor Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 I do agree with you, but your post is a bit childish. Don't use big letters like that. No dev would take this post seriously. Been levling a few alts and the gear you get is so boring now. And since there is no outfit designer tab for weapons, a lot of weapons are pointless. You can just vendor them as they serve no purpose. Another funny thing is that they grant you a lot of commendations during levling, but you can pretty much only spend them on armor modifications, but you don't get any customizable gear from quests anymore it seems. The loot change is the worst thing they added with 4.0. I am just happy that I did get some of those armors on some of the characters before the change, but some items are lost forever it seems and it is just really sad.

I am just happy that I did get some of those armors on some of the characters before the change, but some items are lost forever it seems and it is just really sad. I echo this post. Presentation is important. I agree with you though that removing the Orange Moddable returns from the Planetary Heroic Quests was a bad move. It removed a HUGE amount of very cool looking gear from the game. Many of these things are now available via crafting, but some are not, as far as I have seen. Considering the only way to get 'cool' shells appears to be at capped level and those are purchased from vendors for crystals and there is not an extra-ordinary variety for them, it seems that this is pressure to use the Cartel Market/GTN purchase other peoples cartel market castoffs in order to get 'cool' looking gear. At one point I might consider that an oversight but at this point I believe it was intentional. Their 'excuse' doesn't really fly. A global search and replace likely would have been adequate, WORSE it takes a few days (at most) for someone with access to the code database to identify each heroic mission (which they had already identified) and then manually identify the items they would make available from their heroic quests and insure they were repaired. Eve though all my present characters (not counting market mules) are well past these planets I had always anticipated the ability to go back and run these heroics either with old characters or new characters to get these orange gears if I wanted them for their design in the appearance designer. Their removal was another mistake with 4.0. One that could have been identified if they had done some more widespread testing, but BioWare's insistence of secrecy for this expansion extremely limited feedback prior to implementation. There are MANY aspects of the changes that would not have been well accepted and there would have been time to 'fix' these if they had only performed a TRUE Beta and not a closed/invite only of our people who say everything we do is wonderful, our poop is more valuable than gold and our farts smell of roses.
Stingwen Posted November 2, 2015 Author Posted November 2, 2015 its nice to know that someone other than a troller replies to my post thank you
Damask_Rose Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 Heroics had been a nice, reliable source for gear sets. With the new random boxes it is very difficult to get a complete set before you out level the level bracket for it
VanorDM Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 (edited) since we can't acquire orange/purple loot without spending real money to get it. You're quite simply wrong. You can buy orange gear from a lvl 7 vendor on the fleet. You can also buy a ton of it from the GTN. It also drops from killing mobs, in normal missions or FP's and the like. I got a orange hat from a random mob in a FP this weekend. So no you don't have to spend real money to get it. Also the appearance system lets you put any item you want on and have your character look that way. It's not that hard to find green or blue versions of most orange gear. I don't know how the rewards work for normal FP's, but for the solo ones the rewards are quite suitable. For heroics... I haven't done any of them lately, but yeah they should reward the orange gear like before. Edited November 2, 2015 by VanorDM
Stingwen Posted November 2, 2015 Author Posted November 2, 2015 FP's no longer drop orange or artifact gear, and yeah you can I am just furious that they cut the available gear by 75%. and btw how is a level 15 character supposed to afford gear from the GTN when the old gear is sold off and used and what's left is Cartel market gear or overpriced crafted gear HMMMM
VanorDM Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 (edited) FP's no longer drop orange or artifact gear, and yeah you can I am just furious that they cut the available gear by 75%. I'd question that % but I agree the heroic orange gear was nice to have, and should be there even if it's empty. and btw how is a level 15 character supposed to afford gear from the GTN They wait until they're lvl 20+ and then buy it? Have a higher level alt buy it for them. Have a higher level alt craft stuff for them. There's a ton of ways to get stuff even at lvl 15 that doesn't require real money. Plus you get a free appearance slot, so you don't even need to buy orange gear to get a look you want, you just need to buy the green/blue stuff that looks right and upgrade your real gear like normal. My Jedi has 4 different appearance slots all with green/blue items as the main chest piece that I am quite happy with. Most of them being random drops I found playing the game. Even then, most green items on the GTN cost what 2-5k... As an aside, you'll find you get more support if you stick to the facts and stop making stuff up, like saying that you have to spend real cash now, because that is simply untrue. Stingwen Posted November 2, 2015 Author Posted November 2, 2015 this is a serious issue vanorDM not to be thrown aside some of us play the game for the cosmetic view not for just the story and it is time that Bioware acknowledge the mistakes in 4.0 Beit loss of available orange/purple loot or the level sync they will probably not be affected by our squabbling but it is time that a corporation should be held accountable by its fan base not just by its Fricking stockholders.
VanorDM Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 this is a serious issue vanorDM No it really isn't. Not with the appearance slots and how easy it is to find decent looking armor for next to nothing on the GTN. I agree that they shouldn't of removed it, and I'd like to see it come back again. But that doesn't mean people are without options, and blowing things out of proportion does not help your case, see below... but it is time that a corporation should be held accountable by its fan base not just by its Fricking stockholders. No it shouldn't, it should and is held accountable by its customers first, and then its stockholders. The fanbase has nothing to say on the matter, unless they're also customers. But this also has nothing to do with the larger point. It's not like that gear was removed at the order of the stockholders, it was removed because the Dev's decided to remove it for some reason. I don't agree with their reasons, and would like to see the orange stuff back again even as empty shells because more options is almost always better. But you are doing nothing to help your cause. I can say for sure anyone with any ability to make a change would of stopped reading as soon as they saw your large print, and ignored everything you were actually saying.
Stingwen Posted November 2, 2015 Author Posted November 2, 2015 you agree with me on the loot that's ok but leave the condescending extra bits off im only doing this to bring it to others attention 3 other people have started threads on this as well. I was ok with your constructive criticism before but attacking my thread for how I wrote it is getting you closer and closer to a report sir
CrutchCricket Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 The outfit designer is cool and all but it doesn't totally negate the need for custom gear. The shell/mod model of gear was and remains awesome. I sincerely hope they're not trying to phase it out.

Stingwen Posted November 3, 2015 Author Posted November 3, 2015 I wish a developer would explain there reasons for removing the loot and since there are several threads about this issue. I would like to know why you devs have not addressed this serious issue?
Xedry Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Honestly the perfect Solution would be to give us Orange Shell gear without mods for completing SOLO Mode flashpoints... right now all we get is crystals we can exchange for mods... yet what are we supposed to mod?!
Stingwen Posted November 3, 2015 Author Posted November 3, 2015 exactly I would be more than happy with that:cool:
branmakmuffin Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 its been days I know I am not the only person who care about this:eek: Are you trolling or what? Even tactical FP bosses drop moddable 208 gear.
Stingwen Posted November 3, 2015 Author Posted November 3, 2015 im not a trolling nor will I ever. go ahead to hammer station or black talon in tactical see what ya get a useless blue level so called adaptive armor piece even though it is not modifiable!
