I subbed again for the last few months so I could get early access for the new expansion. I hadn't played in a long time and figured, "I'll try it, see how it's come in the years since I last played."

But let's be real; I subbed for that speeder.

When I came back, they had the "Legendary Armor pack" or whatever, that contained all the old KotOR and KotOR 2 armors. I spent all my saved up CC and considered re-mortgaging my house to get some more, until I got the Revan armor.

I played through the Shadows of Revan content and now KotFE, and had the best experience I'd had playing in an MMO in a long time. And now the Alliance system reintroduces the KotOR conversation template.

So, my point is; if you guys want to continue to just make this game KotOR 3 with oddly frenetic NPCs running around doing whatever it is that I don't care about, you have my complete support. I love it. This is the world I've been waiting for.

I love this post - you could try your luck with the Gold Pack Mounts too! Quite expensive - but the gamble could be worth it grabbing a Throne or Meditation Chair :) I'm hopeful for a sale for those packs as some point.

with KOTFE - it was the first time that I actually put on headphones to not allow distractions for myself, and I found that I didn't spacebar through any of the conversations. I really enjoyed this story.

That and the fact that I did get the Revan Armor set completed myself finally a week ago - it felt very "nostalgic" - I cannot wait to level a new character with Revan's garb - I think it'll be a new playthrough experience in itself.

This post made me laugh much more than it should've. Thank you good sir. If any of the devs read the forums, you just may have made one of their days too.

Personally, I think the KOTOR dialogue that starts when you start recruiting companions at Chapter 9 is one of the worst additions to the game. It is TOTALLY immersion-killing. I want to hear that brilliant inquisitor's voice when I'm getting Xalek back. It doesn't matter that you have more options when in conversation if you can't hear your character's voice when you reply.

Immersion through the dialogue screen is one of, if not the most, important feature in the game. This better not be a preview of things to come or I will simply unsub after 3 years. I think it's cheap.

Going back to the one sided conversations in kotfe gave me Dragon Age Origins flashbacks, everytime my character said something that was an agreement, i heard my DA wardens voice bit from when you would use a command for her to do someyhing in game: "Well, alright then!" Edited by XiamaraSimi

Love this. That's the best way to think about other MMO players, in my experience, LOL!

I totally get this. But they have said it's just for the alliance system, and in that context, I think it's fine. It's obviously a nice reference to the roots of this game, and they're not cinematic storyline conversations.

I find the very notion of other people running around doing the same things as me immersion breaking, so I kind of rid myself of those concerns as soon as I signed on to play this game.

Enjoy it while they keep doing it, cause it's driving most of us bat**it crazy. And not in a good way...ugh.

Exactly! So many people seem to think it takes over every aspect of the game starting with Chapter IX, yet if you notice...Chapter IX is no less cinematic than the rest. It's just the bonus content that is slightly less voiced, in return for giving us a free expansion.

I think you'll actually find it's just a vocal minority being "driven crazy." Most content players are too busy enjoying the game to post at the moment.

Yep I'm perfectly ok with no voice for alliance quests, no need for a cutscene when I'm just handing in a box for my goodies. The people complaining of no voice would be the same people complaining about needing to spacebar through the cutscene to hand in said box over & over.

Agreed, it's a non-issue. It is only for the alliance system, NOT the main story missions.

Not exactly. I hate the way they've done the alliance quests, without a voice for my character. I want to hear her IF I'm going to be in a scene at all.

IF they were going to do no voice for me, then they should have just done NO voice for all, OR do it like the quests we picked up on Rishi from NPCs. The scenes for the alliance system are a waste of time without my character's voice being there.

Either give us the voice or don't give us a scene at all!
