Bioware, is it really that hard for Corso to use both pistols and rifles?

So 4.0 is released (for early-access) and Corso Riggs can no longer use pistols (esp. Torchy, Flashy). 4.0a is released and provides Corso rifles he can use (thank you). 4.0.1 is released and those rifles are now unusable, but Bioware doesn't provide (for me at least), a pistol for Corso to use.

So I have two requests. One, please provide a pistol for Corso just in case Torchy and/or Flashy got trashed this past week. Two, between last week and this week, Corso has had the ability to use both, why not make that permanent?

I would very much appreciate it if Corso could use rifles again as well. I mean, is it so hard to have him have weapon proficiencies for both types of weapons, you know, like he did BEFORE 4.0?

Would fit more in /bug or suggestions.

But completely agree. He's always used both, and now the fudge up both the release and patch, making it one, or the other only.

I wouldn't be surprised with this having to do with the fact that they made all companions relatively cookie cutter, eliminating almost all of the unique abilities and proficiencies of each companion. I would like to see Corso able to equip both rifles and pistols, as he used to be able to. For that matter, I would like all of the companions who used to have unique abilities and animations to have them again, though I doubt they'll be coming back.

This is such a stupid change. Good that he can now use pistols again, but why can't he use Blaster Rifles anymore. The stupid thing is he actually holds his hands as if he was holding a blaster rifle in some cutscenes, but now he can't... Why remove or change these weapon things at all. The weapons they could use before was fine. This just makes no sense to me.

I so agree! It should be like it was before. He may have been limited to just a few blasters he could use, but still, he needs to be able to use both. It just makes more sense.

In the same way, why limit Aric to a sniper rifle? He's a trooper, he should also be able to use an assault cannon (and a blaster rifle, for that matter).
