Class Reactions to Returning Followers

Recommended Posts

So I was wondering how followers respond to the return of their leaders/bosses from the class stories.

I know T7 at least initially doesn't show a lot of...er...emotion, but I was wondering what it is like for characters seeing their old commanders. Videos are appreciated.

(Biggest questions, but I want to know EVERYTHING)

1. SCORPIO and the Agent

2. Tanno Vik and the Trooper

3. T7-O1 and the Knight (if there is anything more to the reactions)

4. Etc.

From ones I've seen:

1. Scorpio doesn't react much to the Imperial Agent, just noting that you've collaborated successfully before. Lana then asks you, based on your experience with Scorpio, how much she can be trusted. Responses are no different than for any other class.

2. Qyzen and the Consular can talk a lot about the Consular losing her Jagganath Score due to her capture, and bring Qyzen and his band into the Alliance completely bypassing the Stalking the Score quest.

3. Likewise, Sith Warriors can bypass Pierce's recruitment quest after a long chat about the aftermath of the Bastion raid and what's happened to Pierce in the meanwhile. Offer Pierce a place on the front lines of the Alliance and the Moff commanding Pierce defers to your authority and your sponsorship of the Bastion raid.

4. Imperial Agents can bypass the materials gathering phase of Lokin's quest and talk some about drinking to absent and departed friends, and more details about what's happened to Lokin since.

It seems like it really pays to be an Imperial Agent then. They seem to be getting their followers back pretty quickly. Smugglers seem screwed as far as I've seen so far and besides Qyzen I haven't heard anything else.

Inquisitors can recruit Talos right off the bat instead of doing his quest, saying something among the lines of "I don't exactly have time for this. You are needed elsewhere." As for Xalek, can skip fighting him and have him kneel instead. Doesn't make him any less bugged though :(

I've only seen the Knight one thus far (no video), but the weakened Knight can give a weary, but warm "hey, little guy" type say to T7, who does the usual "T7 + Jedi = awesome team!" type thing, which is always great. There's a few more moments sprinkled around, of course...

...still, I don't think it was quite enough. I, for one, wanted a convo like this:

Knight: "...so, you turned my droid into a spy?"

Lana: "He's quite good at it, actually."

Knight: "But... he's not... he's my ship's astromech. Not a spy."

Lana: "Well, you weren't exactly using him."

Lt.Pierce's (as companion known only as Pierce) first words to SW outlander:

"Kept me waiting long enough, my lord." :D:D:D

He doesn't seem at all surprised that outlander is alive. I guess that means he had that much faith in me and never considered the possibility.

Does Zenith come back? Or Rusk, Broonmark?

So far, the returning companions are:

Sith Warrior: Pierce

Sith Inquisitor: Talos, Xalek

Imperial Agent: Scorpio, Dr. Lokin

Bounty Hunter: None

Jedi Knight: T7-01

Jedi Consular: Qyzen

Smuggler: None

Trooper: Yuun, M1-4X

Pierce can only be recruited by Imperial Outlanders, M1-4X only by Republic Outlanders.

According to datamining, the companion terminal that tomorrow's patch will fix will bring back all the old romance option characters.

Do they return with their equipped gear?

Vik also shows up, but it's more a cameo than anything. Haven't run into Lokin, though...

Lokin only shows up if you complete four Alliance recruitment missions - four of Mixological Profiling, Death Before Dishonor, Fighting Power With Knowledge, Stalking The Score, or The War Relic/The Booming Vocoder of Freedom. Complete four of those and the recruitment quest A Kindly Old Monster becomes available.

However, you can't actually recruit Lokin yet as the second phase of his recruitment quest (Imperial Agents only skip the first part) requires the rakghoul weekly event to be active.

Male Agents are also the first one to get their LI back. Kaliyo's showing up next chapter.

She may not be recruitable though. First 9 chapters already show all different kinds of handling compantion return - some are core companions in the story (T7, Scorpio), some appear in the story but do not want to join (Tanno), some get recruited within the Alliance.

True, but the preview says you go there specifically to recruit her. So I'd wager she falls in the same group as T7 and SCORPIO.

Possibly. I don't care much for T7, he's a "Main Character" just to tick off the "hero has astromech droid" box, but I have to say SCORPIO's inclusion within the main story was just brilliant. Having high hopes for Kaliyo in such case

I was SO shocked and SO pleased with SCORPIO's role. And combined with the fact that the guy who wrote the Agent story is coming back for Chapter 10...well, I expect great things from Kaliyo next chapter. I expect great things from next chapter in general.

I fully expect, knowing Kaliyo, to shank her on sight with my Agent, and shank her with my other characters as soon as they realize the kind of liability she is.

Well, as someone that loves T7 and finds him endlessly adorable (*coughAvatarcough*)...

I don't think it was to tick off that box. I think they realized that, for the escape to make any sense, they needed a master slicer to justify why things are so easy for Lana and the PC. They could have created a new char for that purpose or brought back one of the class companions.

For a new char, and most class comps, that's a character with a personality you're going to need to manage along with the return of Lana, introducing Koth and HK-55, mostly for the sake of this one mission.

T7-01, however, has a special advantage: He's... kinda simple. He's earnest, heroic, almost eternally cheerful and a slicing wizard. The only real trauma in his life happened a long time ago, and he's well past it now. He doesn't need to brood or rant or talk things up, he just needs to be awesome, adorable and exist, and let the rest of the team get the spotlight instead.

Well, this gets awkward... I got some (now) unobtainable gear on some of my companions...

When you first encounter them, they're wearing a new set of gear. However, once they join you and you summon them, they'll be wearing the same gear your gave them prior to KoFE.

When my Inquisitor met Talos Drellik, he was wearing a new set. Once I had him back as my companion he was wearing the Yavin gear he had before KoFE.

That's odd. All of my chars I've played so far* <except obviously the "new60> have had their companions gear mailed to me.

*<my Imp agent, my warrior, and my trooper>

Also, after I "recruit " them back, the comps I have recruited again so far are still showing up as holograms in my stronghold <M1-4X>.

For the IA, when you get her back is she range or melee?

I was so excited to get her on my Shadow and then i saw she was range and couldn't equip tech staffs. Which doesn't make sense because on the new 60 IA she has one.

the Agent does get a small reaction from Scorpio --- something like "I thought it might be you" ( I guess meaning you were The Outlander she's heard about )
