MajikMyst Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 Despite this new system for dialogue, I don't remember where it said that my refusal to duel with him meant I was outright rejecting him from the Alliance.. I feel cheated to some degree after this exchange and not having him my alliance.. If anything I learned that I really don't have a choice and there really aren't options.. Couldn't there have been some big bad monster that would could have killed together as a show of my power?? Perhaps Lana could have come down and talked some sense into him.. Maybe Darth Marr could make a ghostly appearance.. In either case, the dialog was not clear in the slightest and I would like another crack at Xalek..
Emersyn Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 wait really? Is it basically up to a single question and if you answer wrong then he's not in your group any longer? As a Sith Inquisitor I really feel like there should have been more to him becoming your new Apprentice - I maxed his rep too and the conversations quests were ahh "meh" - imo anyways Not related but yeah Sad if you missed him due to a non-clear conversation choice
AlienEyeTX Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 I only regret that I didn't have the option to execute him. Never wanted him for an apprentice anyway!

Even if you answer right he might not be in your group. It's bugged.

CS seemed to have indicated this is a bug. see what it looks like after tomorrow's patch.
DOHboy Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 I want you as part of my alliance... -> becomes companion I want you as an Ally. -> not a companion.
Leklor Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 You were. The choice to refuse the duel is preceded by "[Refuse Companion]".
Stevenmagnet Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 I only regret that I didn't have the option to execute him. Never wanted him for an apprentice anyway! There is the option to , you must've just missed it.

I was a consular Shadow at the time.. But yes.. It was a single question, there was no warning and he was gone..
MajikMyst Posted October 26, 2015 Author Posted October 26, 2015 You were. The choice to refuse the duel is preceded by "[Refuse Companion]". That doesn't tell me not in my alliance.. Nor do I remember it saying that.. I just remember the option to duel or not to duel.. In either case, for a choice like that.. It needs to be clear with no room for error.. Or they should still offer some backdoor means to get him anyways should you want to.. This is a game after.. Perhaps make it a little harder the 2nd time around.. In any case, something like this should not be a permanent choice unless the player makes it one.. Like to kill him..
Master-Nala Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 I think the writer may have assumed we know more about Xalek than we do. I got him, because I assumed that he would only respect you as his master if you were stronger than him. Basically, it's an old trope but it makes sense here. There should be a means for people to back out of this. Like Xalek saying, "I will only follow one who can best me," or something to that effect.
Nireos Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 If anything I learned that I really don't have a choice and there really aren't options.. Ugh, how was this not a choice? You CHOSE not to dual him. That led to the consequence of not having him in the alliance. The Devs have said since day one announcement of KotFE that your CHOICES will affect your ability to get or not get companions.

What part of the dialogue was not clear or dialogue issue do you not understand?? Also the dialogue for one class or another is different.. The dialogue for a sith inquisitor is different than that of a Consular shadow?? Now read your post and think about advance class?? The choice needs to be clearly stated.. Have a nice day.. MajikMyst Posted October 26, 2015 Author Posted October 26, 2015 There is the option to , you must've just missed it. You do realize that the dialogue options you have are different for all other classes??

I played Consular and the choice was very clear to me. But I guess it takes some common sense. And my first response was to your comment about there not being choice. I did not copy anything but that from your post. Yes the dialogue is different for the sith inquisitors because he was an inquisitor companion.

Yes the dialogue is different for the sith inquisitors because he was an inquisitor companion. What is clear for you may not be clear for someone else.. I guess knowing that takes some common sense.. I never said there wasn't a choice.. I said the choice was not clear.. There is a difference.. There honestly isn't anything to dispute in this thread so go else where.. One person said it was a bug already.. So what is your point?? Are you here to just be rude and make trouble?? Show some common sense..
Nireos Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 I never said there wasn't a choice.. I said the choice was not clear.. There is a difference.. Actually you did...here is the quote from your op... If anything I learned that I really don't have a choice and there really aren't options..
