raverbane Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 (edited) Can't seem to find a straight answer on any of the guide sites on line. Other than a reward box every few ranks. What, specifically, does raising the influence ranks of the Alliance Specialists give us? Edited October 26, 2015 by raverbane Puncutation
JWagner Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 Can't seem to find a straight answer on any of the guide sites on line. Other than a reward box every few ranks. What, specifically, does raising the influence ranks of the Alliance Specialists give us? I've seen some "clickables" inside the star fortresses that require various levels from the specialists. So I'm assuming it plays a role in functionality and such as well currently, and hopefully down the road as well.
Sawanee Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 Are there NO more rewards given past rank 10? I have made it to 11 on each, but I didn't get the reward I was getting from 2 to 9.
Avalyssia Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 Are you talking about the quest from the datapad reward? If so you get one at 12, 14, 16, 18, 20... I think.
Sundragon Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 Rep at 20 gives you a speeder. Also, I believe (could be wrong here) that the buff you get at the terminal for the star fortress reflects the amount of reputation with those specialists.
Swalsugmass Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 Given all companions max level is 50 I would not be surprised if the alliance specialists max level increases the more chapters that get released.
Avalyssia Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 Given all companions max level is 50 I would not be surprised if the alliance specialists max level increases the more chapters that get released. Oh gawd don't say such things
Swalsugmass Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 Oh gawd don't say such things Sorry but other than that I can't really understand why the max level is currently only 20. Also on a side note once you max them you can still give them supply crates which is strange.
Apache Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 Given all companions max level is 50 I would not be surprised if the alliance specialists max level increases the more chapters that get released. That would be tragic. Im only to 15 on all of them and Im already tired of that grind.
JessieLoverRxE Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 Not sure about the rest of them, but I got to talk twice to Sana-rea (Rank 15 atm). Which is, sorta like, a RP reward I guess. Also, I read you get some Cartel Coins for reaching rank 20 with the specialists. Think it's 20 cc's.
JeKoCZ Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 At lv20 with all 4 spcialists you get 5 achievements, the legacy title "Alliance Commander", 20 cartel coins for each achievement (So 100 in total) and 4 tokens to be exchanged in the military hangar for 4 unique Roche speeders, each themed and linked to a particular specialist. Those speeders are not bound on pickup and you can trade/sell them on the gtn if you wish. But the token(s) are a 1-time deal only, so if you either trade or sell the speeders you lose them permanently with that character and have to lever another alliance to lv20 to get another 4 tokens. They also don't unlock in collections.
Manda_Bruiser Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 Given all companions max level is 50 I would not be surprised if the alliance specialists max level increases the more chapters that get released. I sure hope so.
Manda_Bruiser Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 That would be tragic. Im only to 15 on all of them and Im already tired of that grind. Sorry, story-wise, it makes no sense at all for rank 20 to be their actual max. Once you're 20, they all talk about how good things are going, and how they're finally making progress. However, it's still quite obvious you're nowhere near ready to actually take on the Eternal Empire. I'd be absolutely shocked if they didn't go up to rank 50 by the time you waltz into Arcann's throne room to bust his face.

StarMagus Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 (edited) Can't seem to find a straight answer on any of the guide sites on line. Other than a reward box every few ranks. What, specifically, does raising the influence ranks of the Alliance Specialists give us? 1. You get update letters from them. 2. Every Even level you get crystals from them and some money. 3. At 10 you get access to special buffs inside of the Star Fort. 4. At 20 each one gives you a speeder key for a specialized speeder. 5. Once they all hit 20 you get a title. From the story even at 20 they still talk about how there is much to do and encourage you to keep giving. I'm pretty sure their max level is going to go up. Edited December 4, 2015 by StarMagus
dscount Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 Pretty sure you get the ADDED bonus stations to click on Star Fortress AFTER you get level 10 (I'm pretty sure it's 10) influence with the respective one of four. Each one has a DIFFERENT Bonus on the click station. Only way to increase is doing the standard talk/answer/do stuff they request. Then after that you can get the loot to share from missions as well use your Green Data Crystals to buy them as well. A little pricey I think for like 50 per gift if I can recall from memory correctly (At work now). The good thing is after you get them to 20 you are done and get a cool mount (different for each I think I read). The 20 cc's I'm not sure if that's PER level 20 or having all them. Good luck!
Thompsons Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 To be more explicit, at 10 you can unlock items on the state fort that give you both buffs and added attacks/healing. Each unlock requires 10 influence with the relevant specialist. The added attacks are: Military specialist: A temporary gun turret you can deploy. The thing is irresistible to Zakuul knights and extarchs. Will die quickly if you don't protect it, but is a very nice tank substitute while it lives and does decent damage. Science Specialist: A very nice heal. Smuggling Specialist: An effective stun grenade. Force Specialists: A nice AOE that surrounds you. Cool downs are pretty long, but they can be used more than once. If you have any other players with you, everybody gets the buff even if any of you can unlock them.

No argument there. That's a whole other can of worms. At this point, I'll just try to pretend the fight took an extra two hours and we were both at 1HP when I deal the final blow.

Manda_Bruiser Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 Maybe I'm mis-remembering, but when I look at the Alliance Specialists now, it says: Rank 20/20. I could have sworn it was 20/50 before 4.03. Anyone else?
Nothing_Shines Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 You're misremembering. It's always been 20/20.
Stoofa Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 The big question for me is will their influence level ever go above 20? I'm stockpiling the reward crates at the moment - could be turning them in for the credits and influence items for companions, but something just makes me feel that in a future chapter the cap will increase above the 20.

What, specifically, does raising the influence ranks of the Alliance Specialists give us? You get a nice shiny reward every 2 levels until you reach max level 20 influence. Then you get the whoopee speeder card to turn into the vendor in Admiral Aygo's section. Also, if you happen to do the Star Fortress fp, level 10 is when you can get a buff from each one of them. sure helps out a bit.
