I think agro range is off right now. Level sync is fine for the most part, though I think our personal damage and the damage of mobs is a bit light when we or they are X levels above, but that is for another thread.

I think you failed to consider what would happen when you essentially removed "gray" from the game. What you have done is caused players to catch agro everywhere, all the time. I think this is a mistake.

Instead, I think it would be more prudent to reduce the agro range to pre-4.0 levels for greys that would be equal to 5 levels above, increasing agro range as the level disparity shrinks.

In other words, 5 levels above should be the new "grey" agro range, or close to it.

I concur with OP that the aggro range could be a little adjusted. Also, is it just me or do the stealth detection of most mobs is now rather high? I mean even abilities that increase my stealth level seem to do not much...

Agree with this, stealth detection seems off.

On the contrary, this seems quite intentional. There is no gray now, in practicality. Your character is acting like the level it's scaled to, by design. It's just you're used to things ignoring you because you were beyond them.

I agree with the OP. They either need to adjust the aggro range depending on "Real" level or get rid of level sync on the planets. This could easily just be implemented in heroics and FP's.; Or a toggle. I got really irritated when I ran a bounty on Nar Shadaa earlier last week and was blown off my mount by a droid. When one reaches level cap there are some times when I just want to go do my task and then on to other things.

IMO, this is spot on.

Also, the argument that level-sync makes old content relevant again is rubbish. All content to me is relevant if I haven't completed said content. I don't care if I get level appropriate rewards for doing it.

I never complain about not enough content. There is always something I can find that I haven't done. And especially in this game since I have only been playing a few months.

Well, I am not against the idea of level sync, though I find it odd that they locked out heroics to weekly. IMO they should have offered heroics openly, but only offered REWARDS for the weekly. This way folks could still run them with friends and get something out of it.

I think level sync would be fine if they adjust the agro range downward.

Well, to be honest the reason level sync was implemented is still a mystery to me. I can see some of the benefits, but a few adjustments could have avoided the pitfalls, ones that they seemed to ignore.

It is pretty obvious that aggro was going to be an issue, and players would likely become disgruntled at the fact that they would now catch aggro regardless of level. That much should have been obvious AND easily avoided.
