Theran Shan?

For me it was a pleasant surprise since I honestly was not expecting anything. I'll take a little flirt (an actual acknowledgement that we're still together) over nothing at all. That doesn't of course mean that I don't want more (more please!) but something is better than nothing for now at least :D

Agreed. I guess I should be thankful for any sort of romantic interaction. And on that subject...

I'll admit it - when I was told to go to the cantina I was expecting some sort of dialog with our LI...only to have Niko sit at my table and nod before I was told to report to Scorpio? Huh?

Me too! Like *** give us some personal time or don't get our hopes up like that T_T they sent us to the cantina only to immediately send us back to where we were. At least give us another funny scene like the one with Len and Tora getting drunk if nothing else. :(

I have to say, I love Theron but this whole forcing Theron as the only one who can come with you on missions (and then immediately sending him away)...I just hate it. I mean it's way better than forcing Lana or something but I feel like they did it as an excuse not to have to write any dialogue for the other companions :( where's the replay value?

The thing I found strange about this is that Theron comes with us after saying that he couldn't be seen with Jorgan, that's why he was getting you to go.

Me too, I thought it was going to be an opportunity like in Chapter 9 where we could have a chat with our LI's (Koth, Theron, Lana) and if we weren't romancing any of them just a general chat. It was just weird we went there honestly for no reason at all, I was at least expecting something with Jorgan like we had with Kaliyo in the previous chapter

I, too, was expecting something a bit more than what we got. It felt so awkward and very out of place. Like the writers said, "hey let's just throw this in because, reasons." I also wonder if this has something to do with the Nico (unable to summon him, send him on missions) bug I keep hearing about.

I don't own Nico and my cantina scene was as boring and awkward as yours. Except mine had Hylo Visz sit at my table for a bit giving me a weird smirk before SCORPIO calls. It was rather random and out of place and I'd also expected something along the lines of the C9 cantina scene or a 1 on 1 with Aric but nupe!

I know right? They really didn't think that one through >_<'

This irked me to, as much as I like to see Theron (and I do) I would rather him play an important role and come with us for that Chapter for a reason, have him be there for a reason that makes sense that he'd be there instead of Lana or Koth.

Hopefully the next chapter is more story focused like 1-8 rather than "gotta catch 'em all" old companion recruitment like the more recent ones >.< Hopefully we will also be able to make out with our LI if present >.>

According to Dulfy from the live stream on Chapter 12 they said that,

"Valkorion has brutal plans for the outlander." It would be a good opportunity for our LI's (Theron, Lana, Koth and maybe Kaliyo and Jorgan?) to interact with us to make sure we're ok as I can assume his brutal plans mean we're not going to have a good time :p

Well, the consequences of using or denying his power may come into play here. Makes me wonder what the old phart is up to now.

This is BioWare -- it will probably entail something horrible happening to our LI if we don't comply. :p

It really wouldn't surprise me if he eventually goes after our LI's and somewhere down the track he gives us some kind of ultimatum about them that if they start getting in our way to much he'll take care of them, for the greater good. I would really like to see our choices start to have BIG consequences and what's a bigger consequence then effecting our LI's or favourite characters, I can imagine Chapter 16 leaving on a big cliffhanger on whether someone is alive or dead :p

He already threatened Lana once ("she'll die if you don't let me take over"), so if he wants to try to scare me again about Lana I won't care. :p

I really can't see them killing off the LIs -- not YET anyway -- just a gut feeling, for what it's worth --

the insta 60's have either Koth, Theron, or Lana as LIs -- so why tick off a big part of the player base by killing off the LIs now ? ---

Later, very possibly might happen, I wouldn't be surprised --- but now? too soon just yet -- it's like a TV show that is in it's very last season --- 'Forever Knight'; comes to mind -- last season, anything goes ( and for those of you who were Forever Knight fans and haven't seen the last episode -- I won't spoil it for you ) -- but that is a good example of what they can do in that final episode --- I THINK our LIs are safe -- for now ....

that doesn't mean bad things won't happen ... but I don't think they will put the Outlander in that spot -- just yet anyway

aww don't worry -- have faith in your Alliance team -- it'll be ok ......

(just get your Alliance specialists maxed out soon --- the base will be attacked, it's inevitable ( and I have a feeling that the maxed out specialists will help; but again, just a gut feeling ... )

Aw man...I HOPE the alliance levels don't have that kind of huge effect on the story (since the alliance quests are super boring to me and I don't do them) :( it would be especially horrible since I'm an alt addict T_T I can't grind those alliance levels up 30+ times!

I've started running a cannon fodder character through each chapter just to ensure that my main (and companions aren't hurt). I recommend doing that if you can.

I too have a guinea pig who I like to run through to check out some stuff before sending through my pub and imp mains :i_angel:

I thought everyone might like to see this tweet SWTOR put up today about Theron (no spoilers!), https://twitter.com/SWTOR/status/709763811960557568

I'll just watch Youtube and read the spoilers here -- so far so good with my mains with jumping right in and playing --- no serious surprises ( but have a feeling, I need to be more careful from now on.... )

So, from reading the thread I got the impression that Theron + Imp was a fun combo. Thinking about setting him up with my Sith Warrior, anyone who has something to say about that setup? Don't remember the specifics of what people said about setting him up with the different classes :p

I am actually pretty excited about this. It will be the first time in an BioWare game that one of my character cheats or dumps a LI. About time you could say, after the list of BioWare-LI's who has dumped my girls

* Alistair

* Fenris ( Had no idea that he came back when I romanced him blindly in DAII, got a rebound with Merrill )

* Jacob Taylor ( Yes, there were those of us who really liked him. We were pretty few but we had our little dedicated group on BSN)

So Quinn, time to hit the road. They haven talked for years, and he did try to kill her. Figured that if there was one of my characters who would like to move on it would probably be her. Also.... I don't want to lvl a whole new character for Theron because I have so little time for playing right now. If I had had the same amount of free time as when SWTOR came out I would just have made a new char for him.
