Some games (LOTRO, Dragon Age) have a feature where, if a player clicks an interactable object but is not close enough to use it, the player character will walk over to the object automatically. This could make for a very nice QOL feature, and I think a lot of people would prefer that to "you must move closer" messages.

Only if usable out of combat; the potential for abuse is too great otherwise. With that restriction, I have no objections.

I don't recall exactly how it works in LotRO. But it's not a teleporter.. That said, I doubt this will ever be implemented in TOR.

You suggest something that you can do by simply pushing a keyboard button to move your character a few meters. We can live without it

Of course we can live without it, but this is more convenient than having to manually walk towards it. That's why it's a QOL change, not a necessity.

Yeah it would be helpful at times but I would prefer to have it as a toggleable option from preferences.
