elite comms question

I believe the gear you can buy with them is bound, so I do not think so.

Not entirely accurate.

YES, the actual gear you buy with comms is bound on purchase. However, for the gear that is moddable, you can acquire a Bound to Legacy (BoL) gear set (can be expensive), rip the armorings, mods, enhancements, etc out of the comms gear, install them into the BoL gear and send the item modifications to other characters.

NOTE: the armorings, barrels, and hilts are linked to a type of piece: i.e. you cannot rip an armoring from a chest piece and put it into a bracer; it must go into a BoL chest piece and an off . Basically, this necessitates acquiring a full set of BoL armor and several weapons.

The restriction is that ear pieces and implants (those pieces of gear without item modifications) cannot be transferred in any way.

You can't transfer the comms themselves since everything they buy is character-bound. You can, however, use Legacy gear to transfer the mods/enhancements/etc that they buy (pulled out from the equipment obviously) between characters. Edited by DarthDymond
