AkeroStar
Hi everybody. (I posted this here and in classes, wasnt sure where to post this.) So I finally reached lvl 60 yesterday after 2 months of gaming, woho. Then I decided I wanted to get that super awesome armor set that looks like Darth Marrs. Ive seen 2, Reaver and Battlemaster. Reaver from my understanding is bought from the cartel market. But idk where and there is no search bar in the store. Ive seen it in the GTM but thats like 1 million credits minimum for the entire set. Id rather not use so much money for 1 armour set. Also from what Ive seen the set is cosmetic? Aka clothes and give you no armor, strength or anything. So here is another question, is there no way to have your cosmetic equiped as if you just were wearing 2 armour sets? Like in LOTRO, there you can wear your armour but you can also toggle cosmetic armor. And lastly, Battlemaster. Ive seen plenty of Sith Marauders like me wear it, but again I dont know how to get it. Ive read some other forums where it said "Sith Marauder pvp vendor." Thats wrong, Ive only seen one SM pvp vendor in the galaxy and thats on Dromund Kaas. Its lvl 40 gear and he dosent even sell battlemaster armor set. So to sum all this up. How do I get Battlemaster or Reaver armor? And is their no cosmetic armor toggle thing like in LOTRO/Lord Of The Rings Online? (Note, since Im Sith Marauder I can not use heavy armor, just so you know.) /Akero

You can customize your appearance by inserting whatever Armorings / Mods / Enhancements you want into that shell (same as with all other "Orange" gear and most "Purple" gear), which will give it the stats from those item modifications. You can either buy modifications individually from a vendor (usually for comms) or the GTN, or you can pull them out of any modable gear that you own. For example, on Rishi you'll get a set of "Raider's Cove" armor as mission rewards - you can pull the modifications out of the Raiders Cove armor, put those mods into the Reaver armor, and then you will have the Reaver's appearance with the exact same stats as the Raiders Cove armor. Almost all high-level gear is modable, so you can customize your look without sacrificing stats. (Be aware, pulling out a modification costs credits, the higher level modifications cost over 10,000 credits each to pull out.) Put more succinctly: the shell you use acts as the cosmetic appearance, the mods you choose to put into that shell act as the stats. (2) Getting Reaver Armor: the Reaver armor was a random drop in two of the Cartel Market's gambling packs: the Gatekeeper Stronghold Packs and the Builder Stronghold Packs, it was never available for direct purchase. Both of those Packs have been 'embargoed' and are no longer generally on sale through the Market, although they may come back from time to time as part of special sales. Buying the Reaver set from the GTN, or buying Gatekeeper / Builder Packs from the GTN and hoping you get lucky are the only way to get that set currently. (All Cartel Market armor, including the Reaver set is 'adaptable' armor, which means it can be worn by any class regardless of Light / Medium / Heavy restrictions, so you don't have to worry about your Marauder being limited to Medium armor.) (3) Getting the Battlemaster Armor: the Battlemaster sets were PVP sets from years ago that have been phased out and are no longer available for sale. Some players learned the Schematics to craft those armors' shells (see the above paragraph on 'shells' and stats), and may still sell the shells on the GTN. You can also ask around on the Fleet or in your Guild to see if anyone can craft you any of the pieces. Be aware that those shells may require you to have a certain Valor rating (gained through PVPing) in order to equip them. (The Battlemaster shells, unlike the Reaver shells, do have a specific weight, so if you go this route be sure to get the Medium version - I believe it's called the "Battlemaster Weaponmaster's" set). Ok thanks, that answered pretty much all my questions. I will most likely try to get battlemaster. I dont have much else to do at lvl 60 then pvping. The valor limit for battlemaster is 60, but like I said I got nothing better to do.
