When balancing goes to far

Everyone who plays an mmo expects there to be balancing adjustments made. Skills have damage increased, damage decreased, cool downs increased, ect..., and this is necessary to keep the game balanced. However, to completely remove a major skill is going to far. In fact in 20 years of gaming I've never seen it done before. So imagine my surprise when my powertech was missing unload from his skill bar. Not even so much as one line of explanation in patch notes as to why. Maybe I'm a minority, but I am unhappy when someone takes something from me with no explanation and nothing offered in return. What does everyone else think?

other than on tanks, it was a pretty pointless skill. As for tanks, we'll just fill it with something else (dps does the damage, we just keep the attention).

I would more advise they re-look at pyro/plasmatech and fix the damn rotation and energy issues. If they think they were doing to much dps, then a damage nerf is fine. But a damage nerf, and a proc removal that adversely affects rotation and energy is just wrong. they could have gotten the damage where they wanted it without messing with the rotation. As for full auto, it was a minor skill and if used in any PT/VG rotation it was extremely low priority.
