So, Bioware is giving away 7 days of free sub, if you're a former sub. That 7 days just turned into a 60 day sub, Went to Walmart for RedBull & Slim Jims & came home with 60 days of the Force to back up my 7 days with :D

Activate the 7 days subscription you must.

Become an active subscriber you will!

Just that little bit to tie you in! I bought my gf a subscription because she wouldn't do so on her own after starting F2P. She's so much happier with the sub benefits. She'll be paying it on her own now ha.

Actually no, it says in the fine print that those 7-days are not a real subscription. While in-game, it looks like you are a subscriber, you won't get the crystals if you use your 7-days during March 28th.

During this time, you will be able to play the game with full Subscriber gameplay benefits excluding the following rewards and promotions that are exclusive to paid Subscriber accounts, such as:

  • monthly Complimentary Cartel Coins
  • Friends of Star Wars: The Old Republic Referral rewards
  • the Black-Purple Color Crystals Subscriber Reward
  • access to Rise of the Hutt Cartel Expansion content (Level 51-55 missions)

@OP: Glad to have you on board, it's always nice to see new subscribers. :D

Yeah, I cant do f2p on this. I tried. It is worth subscribing though, it really is. The reason I left was a massive delay on my casting abilities, which seem to have gone away in the time since I unsubbed, so I am very happy atm. 100 players on the rock I was on, running ultra settings, not one bit of lag. I know it wont always be this smooth, but meh, The Force is Strong this weekend!

Now time to go smash some puny Jedis :D

Honestly, people posting their referral links around hear and on the game's Facebook page are the height of tacky. Use it for friends and family. Pasting it all over the game's own forums and FB is just really obvious and more than a little greedy.

What are family and friends? Is that new system that came out with 3.0?

;)

Eh, I'm on a 7-day former subber comp sub as well. Although I intend to actually renew my sub just as soon as I have the money actually available in my bank account to do so.

Pref/F2P....don't get me wrong, I like the game but oi....the constant "Subscribers get this...." and "you CAN'T have that reward because you're NOT a subscriber!!" Aggressive marketing, I'm sure....but this one tends to Force choke you and toss you around a bit. If you're more than a complete ultracasual player, you NEED a sub.

It's that one faction with which you earn reputation by not playing the game. There are some nice BoL rewards, but the grind for "Legend" standing is kind of taxing. Occasionally they even expect you to leave your home zone and engage in p2p (you're auto-flagged when you step through the door).

Well I traded in a couple old consoles I had laying around and a couple games, to EB games and then paid the difference to get 6x60 day game cards today... :) looks like I will be in it for the long haul...

It's actually a relief I won't have to worry about my sub lapsing for a while :p

Well OP your post along with thread's name sounds like bw will automatically charge you for subscription after the free 7 days are over. But that's not the case you can freely decide if you want to subsrcibe so it's definitely not a trap, at least not for people with strong will and selfcontrol.

That's better than me, last time I came home with 60 days of the force, I ended up activating 80 dollars worth of subscription days (180 days)

[edit] This thread again... I've already posted here once. Last time I was actually helpful, now I'm just forgetful.
