Bioware is buying time

So ! Ill try to explain step by step:

1. My own expieriences:

I saw a big drop in Player on-time and queue related waiting time. The last weeks i personally dont make any kind of progress. Im on 2 days a week, before 3.0 there was much more conversation and interaction. Now all seems to be dead ! I´m quite sure that its not "me" ! I already changed the dead guild, chose another one, now dead too ! I always try to be patient and wait a bit ! But like i stated in earlier posts: Bioware, you killed the groupfinder, at least !

2. Every time i come online i thik about my progression and finally come to the point: no progression possible anymore (FOR ME ON AN UNDERPOP-SERVER WITH NO ACTIVE OPS GROUP)

3. Playing on POT5 is like trying to find someone to play football in the arctic sea ! So, WHY THE HELL arent u doing something about server merge or transfer ability (especially in terms of EU-US transfer) ?

4. All the weeks passed by and my motivation did an anti-proportional curve ! Nothing fixed. No new balancing. Crazy unimportant stuff all time. Still latency and lag issues, noone to play with, no good gear progression anymore, crappy itemization, shall i go on ?

5. Then i always see some "cantina tour" posts or something like "preparing for the new star wars movies. How great the game is atm. I recently saw new reviews from gaming magazines. And i think: ..........! Aha !

6. You, Bioware, MUST be recognizing that there´s a big drop in player on-time and motivation to do specific content, like e.g. flashpoints !

So ! I thought myself 3 months ago: be patient, wait, they´ll do something ! Now im playing Starcraft 2 or other games all time and only come here to see if ANYBODY of my friends is here ! And most of the time i immediately leave, because im the only one in guild, no friends on, i queue anyway, nothing happens, i go off !

Sorry. But from my perspective: shall i stay ?

Do something ! Now !

The answer is easy.

Ask yourself one question: Do you enjoy the game?

If the answer is yes, keep playing it.

If the answer is no, stop playing it.

No one can answer the question but you, and no amount of advice from other players will have a genuine impact on your answer.

There's really no reason to be dramatic about it or anything... it's just a videogame.

No ! Its much easier:

1. Yes i enjoy the game. Thats why i stil log on and sometimes do stuff on my own !

2. But the game wants to be a "MMORPG" and i want that too ! And i also want to progress (which is only possible in groups atm) and interact. Otherwise i can play my RPG´s or other stuff !

3. I talk about their incompetence to "NOW" change something to get the players back. But i think its almost lost...

P.S.:

If u think "There's really no reason to be dramatic about it or anything... it's just a videogame."

Then you play it like a RPG ?

You're on pot5? My guild is active, very much still raiding, heavily into conquest (we typically place top 5 where we invade boo grease the servos and revans legacy for always being top 2..ya bums ;) ) Message me and we can see if my guild is for you or not. Outside of that, I've had zero issue pugging ops when I've felt like it, or popping pve / pvp ques. The only thing that seems to take a bit is GSF where I've still done the weekly without much issue.

Thx ;-) ! Rest ingame !

But anyway id need an answer from Bioware !

Bioware: whats your plan ? Are we nailed on a "light" server ?

No option to change ? And no option to change to EU back or vice versa ?

And no better itemization ? (then the Groupfinder will keep empty)

And no adjustments for classes and Ops/FP´s ? (just look at the latest bugs, and the first PTS Patchnotes coming live when ? Never ?)

How are u going to remotivate the people ?

I play on Pot5. I can sit in queue as tank/dps than swap over to heal/dps and still be sitting in queue on Imp and Pub side. There has been a huge drop off in the number of people playing on Pot5.

"It's pretty much all this game set out to be and it's pretty much all it delivers. "

Hmm. I hoped its not all time. I think it can be different. Better. But....u know...maybe you´re right !

Its pretty sad that I cant get queues to pop as tank or healer. **** I've sat in queue for a tact for over an hour at level 60. Try and do ranked and all I see are the same people when they do pop. Once Skyforge comes out, I'm done with SWTOR. I can some up BW/EA handling of SWTOR with one simple phrase: To little to late.

Note: I'm not saying Skyforge is going to kill SWTOR. When I first heard about it I thought its going to be horrible and I still think its going to have mass problems with balancing. But at least there will be something do to instead of the waiting game. Waiting for queues to pop, waiting for "better than cross-server", waiting for them to say anything about what is going on.

Hm. That makes me sad too. But it´s true and existent !

I don´t know where to go, so far ! Still waiting for a better version of star trek online ;-) !

Until then ill stick to "Starcraft 2 - legacy of the Void" soon i hope ;-)

I dont know why the **** MMO´s alll have the same diseases...

Yes ! Sure !

But: what ......"if".....someone would change that rule ? ;-)

This would be my game !

It´s most of the time a capitalistic reaction-thing. But we also know that innovative products follow the opposite rule sometimes and are quite effective ! I hope that will be more common sometimes in the future ! Quality first !

If you come to this game for anything besides story or voice acting, you're absolutely kidding yourself.

Well I like the combat mechanics...I meen seriously some of the moves and abilities are pretty sweat. The PVP back when it came out was pretty awsome in my opinion and I had great fun playing. So plz saying that the only good thing in the game is the voice acting and story is close to laughable especialy when you consider the work of the people who made this game possible.

Ok right ! But i think that´s not what he wanted to say. He said it in a "short" way. For sure it´s not that easy. And i like many things here too. But the things that are important for your motivation to stay - or leave.....are much more like he said (compared to other games for example) !

P.P.S.: now i nearly wait 2 hours for a dps pop !

Bioware did not kill group finder. The problem with GF is that there is virtually no incentive for a tank, and in many cases skilled healer to queue up.

I (also) play on PoT5 and never had any problems engaging in end-game PvE content. Server transfers have been available for many months now. You can even get a free one by clicking on most forum members signature. EU-US will never happen due to the very different laws governing the EU as compared to the US.

4. All the weeks passed by and my motivation did an anti-proportional curve ! Nothing fixed. No new balancing. Crazy unimportant stuff all time. Still latency and lag issues, noone to play with, no good gear progression anymore, crappy itemization, shall i go on ?

To be quite honest, latency and lag issues are probably on your end. No good gear progression? 186-192-198, seems pretty standard considering NiMs haven't been released for the new content yet; rest assured that when it is the new gear level will be 204.

5. Then i always see some "cantina tour" posts or something like "preparing for the new star wars movies. How great the game is atm. I recently saw new reviews from gaming magazines. And i think: ..........! Aha !

They do quite a lot. The game is three years old and has seen an expansion every year. Can WoW say that?

For two years it seems to me they had a skeleton crew maybe they do still because the amount of content in that time frame and these so called expansions are anemic even compared to ten years ago MMO's,and yes i have been subbed every month since early release and regret it tbh. Edited by Sathid

Face it. The game is on a 'go slow' as they work on new Cartel Packs and other Cartel related crap for Episode 7. Then probably late 2016, the game will be closed down.

The servers are getting very empty now early days, 12 months ago they would be pretty busy and Q pops would be regular but not any more. Its just such a shame as we all want to love the game but for some unknown reason Bioware keep thinking its 'us vs them' and never listen to a single word we say, do their own thing then wonder why the players don't like it
