Just a question

Since I can't get a fair reply in game...

Been playing on my Op/scoundrel a lot lately, and I keep getting jumped on, often over 40m, while in stealth, by (some) sents/ravas.

As an exemple, in Novare (WZ in which I see most weird things), the guy I had in focus was besides the southern cabin, me halfway to west, under the rocks, and, it's important, stealthed. Shoudl the guy had focused me too, I can't imagine how, how could he jump on me ?!

Obvious question is : Is it a cheat/hack, or is there a really special and hidden talent that makes it possible for this class ?

Actually, I was in an AHG today, and I saw a stealthed red guy all the way across the "field". At least, he had that look of the crouching, sneaking, outlined stealth image. I was kinda surprised. I was just coming out of mid, towards our pylon (because my wonderful team was leaving it undefended - but 'nuff said about that). He was clear at the back of the map, just circling around to behind the pylon (about 1/2 way around). I wasn't even close enough to leap (PT leap).

First time I've ever seen it happen though. I assumed a bug. He got behind some LoS objects before I could try to leap, and I met him close range at the pylon. And he opened on me right away, so I'm not sure if I'd have actually been able to target him and do anything if he'd have stayed in "stealth" - but I could see him plain as day.

Was it level 60 or lowbie PVP?

Since stealth detection is based on stealth level versus stealth detection level, there could be some kind of bug in lowbies where a player's stealth level isn't being bolstered to 60.

Wouldn't surprise me with all the incredible bugs that were introduced in 3.0 (and the bugs that haven't yet been found).

Leaps of over 40m to stealthed targets?

Your tinfoil's not thick enough. You need to really layer it on. If you can still see the screen, the hackers can still get you.

Which is my snarky way of saying it didn't happen, and assuming you actually think it did and aren't trolling, you need to check whether: a) they jump to you (or maybe another target nearby?); b) you are really in stealth (it's easy to drop out and not realise); c) how far was it really (was it actually over 40m? Or are you exaggerating?).

It is highly unlikely but possible that you were in stealth yet visible at long range to leap to, but severely unlikely that they leapt "over 40m".
