Ridiculous Hatred SS's

Not trying to brag, just wanted to show the OPness of hatred and the numbers it can pump out. I literally got this toon to 60 a week ago and had never played assassin before this.

 

A few screenshots of what I'm able to do on this spec in various settings... it is silly. These are just random shots from the last few days... I actually forget to take ss's most of the time. I basically could have posted 100 of these. I don't even take credit for the numbers put up here, this spec is doing all the work. I leveled this toon up as an alt I had already pre-made with a diff name (Mildred) and have only been playing it for a couple weeks, and have only been level 60 for about a week.

How does bioware allow this to still stay this way in PVP, or ppl still defend it? It's kind of ridiculous :)

 

I encourage anyone else with their fotm assassin reroll to post ridiculous SS's in here!

I don't know how bioware can launch S4 now. It will be just ruined. Dot spreading/class stacking, team making bugs, 3x4 bugs, textures bugs, framerate issues, etc etc.

 

Absolutely agree. Ill post some sorc gameplay as or see if snips will gimme some ss for his since he is the best sage ive seen since aballam and mudclot.

DOT spread is very strong ATM, could be due to coping with heals or any number of reasons why. The 2 huge reasons for me is 1 healers have no cleanses anymore and 2 it is really really easy to farm high numbers.

I think with cleanses back it will reduce alot of the stress but dotspread is still dumb. Idk the game is getting really really easy the more time goes by.

 

Careful complaining about it though ask for balance in PVP enough and BW might make it so PVP gear cant be modified. Wouldnt surprise me.

AOE doesn't affect serious pve much since the important fights are often versus 1 target. But heavy aoe wreaks havoc in pvp. BW seemed to recognize this when they nerfed smash many months before 3.0. I was not in favor of that nerf because it effectively kneecapped the spec and provided no compensation when it wasn't even in the top 2 ac's in general solo ranked performance at the time. But i was in favor of a meta switch from aoe to single-target specs. But now we have a class with stealth, cc immunity, plenty of escapes, the heaviest aoe in the game, self heals, tanking capabilities and range on that aoe... this is very much a *** situation from my perspective. I -hate- jumping on the "nerf" bandwagon but numbers, examples and logic all leave me with a lot of skepticism about the future of this game and the common sense of its devs. Edited by Savej

What tanking abilities are you talking about? You mean that other spec?

 

I think some of you guys are seriously delusional.

 

Then its a good thing you aren't a dev cause the people who actually play this game notice how incredibly stupid some of the classes are.

Hatred not only puts out WAY too much damage with WAY to powerful dot spreading but it can also heal, become invisible, has some of the best defensive cooldowns and can take on multiple targets solo.

Sure a few other classes can do this but that's saying about half of the classes while the other half sit below the bar. Ops for example may have survivability with the roll and stealth while they dish out massive damage, but that's only when ALL the targets cooldowns are gone. They rely on stealth to maintain survivability else they have to be healers. Sorcs are WAY OP right now too but apparently "they aren't" according to the sorc population. But i still have yet to read a Jug thread saying "man we got nerfed so hard".

Sorcs also have measly defensive cooldowns to go with their damage. But unless you are either in madness spec or a healer, or go against players with less skill then you, sorcs can be focused and burned fast if they have more than 1 melee on them. Which if the other team has more than 1 melee that is usually what happens. And I'm aware it also depends on team composition, but right now I really don't see how sorcs can be as OP as some people think. 3 good Juggs can be just as difficult to fight as 3 Sorcs but I don't hear any cries that oh Juggs are op, it's taking too long to kill them, they need to be nerfed. The problem with Hatred's DoT spread is how easy it is to use along with it's potent DoT's. I never hear anyone complain about Veng's DoT spread because the Jugg has to be right in the middle of everyone to use it effectively. If they lowered the range on Deathfield or moved the spread to Lacerate.

 

Personally I would be more of a fan of just making the DoT's spread by Deathfield half strength, only spread one of them or putting the CD back on CT.

Just random SS's... no biggie. Solo q is pretty RNG :)

Even when you double the next damage and nobody on your team taunts but you, you can still lose.

Just giving you a hard time. Also pointing out that getting the most damage isn't always the most important thing and doesn't always guarantee victory.

Taunts and guard are available - i know guard nukes dps but sometimes it's better to use it and the dark charge (huttball mainly but every situation is different).

 

I could argue that hatred currently gets the highest percentage of its dps from aoe in pvp (compared to any other class/spec). But a lightning sorc could compete with it using channel spam if it's ignored - i did forget lightning originally. would amending my post to say "2nd or even 3rd heaviest aoe" invalidate my entire post?
