Force Shroud Doenst Work

well title says it all. force shroud is not working. i still get knocked/stunned and it says resist. i dont know how can you guys cant fix this. on the tool tip it says %200 resist. anyway long story short during the shroud even after 2-3 seconds that you use it, you can still get stunned or knocked.

Its frustrating yea, since you have to rely on it a lot. Resilience duration is so short, youd expect it to behave like its supposed to. Add to that the fact that the bonus to lower cd for it you get from rapid recovery requires you to deflect an attack (which is a bit silly since most attacks ignore defenses).. makes it pretty useless currently. I for one stopped pvp for now, not simply because of bugs like these, but because I still have incredible ability delay (with good internet connection) that makes whole combat frustrating. Using defensive cd when youre about to die, only to discover it doesnt kick in until you have died and respawned. Yay!

You resisted all tech ATTACKS. Verbrannt did absolutely no damage. The debuff was applied (probably because the debuff is keyed to a M/R attack such as Rupture, Deadly Sabers or CGC DoTs) but the DoTs was resisted for its whole duration. Read your whole log before talking.

maybe you are right. the attack the debuff is applied with is "firebomb". furthermore the debuff clearly looks like a tech debuff to me. should'nt at least the debuff get resistet even if applied with a M/R attack?

 

after pulling this mob several times, those attacks and debuff make it through force shroud every single time. maybe it's wrong speaking of a bug here but i don't understand the game anymore.

Nope... I know for sure CGC applied to Shrouded Sin even pre-3.0 despite not doing any damage by itself.

What about blood boiler/volatile substances. When I use force shroud it never gets cleansed despite, as far as I know, being a tech attack. It at least cleanses the dot that was going to cause it to proc, but even a 5 second force shroud doesn't last long enough to negate the next incoming dot (save for a few more stuns).

Can confirm this - I (accidently) used ElecNet on a shadow with resilience up and it did apply. The dot damage was resisted, although the hindered debuff was in full effect.

 

Supposed to be that way?

It always worked like that.

What about blood boiler/volatile substances. When I use force shroud it never gets cleansed despite, as far as I know, being a tech attack. It at least cleanses the dot that was going to cause it to proc, but even a 5 second force shroud doesn't last long enough to negate the next incoming dot (save for a few more stuns).

 

Volatile substance isn't a tech debuff. It deals tech damage when it goes off but the actual debuff isn't listed as anything. It just sits there waiting for a poison tick or two to blow up.

Which is probably originally an oversight.

 

Either or not it should be fixed.. I'm not so sure. It's probably not necessary to change it.

I believe they changed the functionality of Shroud/resilience with 2.0 and the new level cap. It went from allowing you to resist force and tech abilities to a '200%' chance to resist, which changed the way it worked. Recalling days of even late 1.x play, you would always resist any kind of knock back or stun, tech attack, etc. Now we're lucky that it just stops damage during it's effect. Certainly makes Sin play.. interesting to put it kindly.

Just Bioware appeasing the cries of those claiming assassins are all OP. Bioware's response is.. as usual, a knee jerk cleaving 'fix' that was intended to lower the survivability of Assassin DPS..The change predated other changes, but they of course left it as is. Such a change as usual though hits the tanks as well as the DPS... but working as intended according to Bioware.. just like the Sin tank's self healing ability was considered OP.. *Looks at Powertechs and Juggernauts*

That's not a bug. The Sniper/Oper dodged your abilities. You procced Retaliation. Retaliation cannot miss. It goes straight through Dodge.

 

I understand how it works, that's why I uses it as an example.

 

IMO the 100% DCD should override Retal, but that's just me.
