Dead and lonely strongholds

As I've filled my stronghold with decorations, I've noticed that it is missing something really important. There are no cretures sitting on bar seats, sofas, chairs, lying in hospital beds or creatures standing around chatting in general like on the fleet. The stronghold feels like a sad ghost house. We should have the option of choosing between busy and free cafe seats etc. Creatures standing around chatting should also make a "cate chatting noise" to give more "life" to the stronghold. Bioware could easily recycled these creatures from cantinas and missions etc all arond from the game to be used in the strongholds. Not sure why it's not been done.

I regularly spend my money made by selling crafts to put in NPCs. I have a dance class, a cantina with a bartender and a couple patrons, researchers scanning crystals and artifacts, a secretary by my bedroom/office and everything. Even have a busy market bazaar at the entrance to my NS Palace. It feels a lot less empty with the NPCs around. I'd just like to see MORE NPCs introduced. Preferrably without being in cartel packs.

As they've introduced new types of NPCs to place (which have mostly come from packs but there are a couple rep vendor options as well) the cantina in my stronghold has been growing more and more lively.

The more they keep adding (especially for in-game sources, not just packs), the better it will be.

In my Nar Shaddaa Stronghold I have 14 companions, 8 vendors, 12 Guards, 6 miscellaneous, 5 pets, and a serving droid.

I placed a Felusia explaining a game to a companion, another is briefing other companions, the Waitress is taking an order, a medic is scanning a companion, another is scanning a Jawa, two Jawas are discussing their merchandise, another is hawking his wares to passers by, the ship's droid is monitoring a computer, companions are at their desks, a pet droid is guarding a bedroom like a puppy waiting for me to come home, probe droid pets monitor computer's and npc's, companions are discussing the last mission, one companion is hitting on another, others are playing a game in the casino, and my HK-51 is guarding the main entrance with two anti-personnel turrets.

Even with all of my attempts to make things appear active, allowing companions and npc's to sit or lay down would make a vast improvement to the feel of the strongholds.

Having the bartender mix drinks would be nice.

And a little ambient chatter, possibly using a hook or attached to a sign, merchant stall, consoles, computers, scanners, medical gear, or pets would add a lot of life to the strongholds.

Currently, speeders make sounds, and some of the mounts too, so, why not the rest of the companions, npc's, pets, and equipment?

I have not used my companions because they all turn holographic if I'm not using the alt that comes with them, and I don't like that. I have the medical guy scanning a gesturing Felusia in the hospital, two guards guarding the entrance to the upper floor, a dancing twi'lek by fireworks in the cantina and a second Felusia as a bartender. Thats it. The cantina is filled with nice tables, chairs and a sofa, but no one is using them. It looks like a totally failed business in there. I want gesturing ppl lying in hospital beds, visitors sitting next to them, ppl sitting on bar seats and chairs. But not as random dropping items in cartel packs, because I don't gamble with real money.

For months on end people have been pleading in the Stronghold forum to either do away with the hologram effect on their companions or have the option of turning them on or off. Since there is no moderator in this forum, all those requests have gone unnoticed. Perhaps if that discussion was to continue in the General forum, Bioware might reconsider. Edited by Banthabreeder

Just returned after a 5 month break. So sad to see this is still an issue. Really takes away from the potential awesomeness.
