Does anyone know if there is a time when the live chat option support (The tab beside where you send in a ticket for help) come online and can be used?

I'm pretty sure that's for when they need to talk to you, not for when there's someone sitting around in an open chat room.

 

Yeah, I've had a couple support chats in 2012 and it was always initiated by them. For rather trivial bug reports, but never since then, though, so I'm not sure it's even used at all anymore.

Yes they still use it. I talk to CS that way a couple months back. Normally used to get more information of a ticket.
