Immortal Jugg (so far lvl 58) feels sub-par after Revan expansion.

So, yes I know I'm only 58, and I only just came back to the game after a year off, but leveling up my jugg just feels.... really lame. If I didn't have really good gear on Vette and purple 168s on myself I feel like I'd still be grinding through lvl 56 mobs.

I have a couple of points/rants:

Putting retaliation on GCD really blows. I mean, hard!

I cannot use my rage, like ever. I always have a surplus. Sub-point of this is that Aegis Assault tooltip doesn't say it even gives rage, yet it gives tonnes. I don't think I've used Enrage since expansion launch.

Sundering Assault is now completely and utterly pointless in Immortal to the point I've taken it off my bar. This was a mistake I feel. Give it at least some utility. We now have no way to apply an armour debuff as a tank? again, I feel this is a mistake, and affects our DPS as per below point.

I have no numbers to back this up but I feel that our DPS has dropped, and it's just not as fun to play anymore. Having to keep Aegis up all the time kind of blows.

I have to agree with other commentators, that this patch feels heavily built around PVP.

You're doing it wrong.

This, unfortunately. I did level with 162 armorings with 180 everything else and have full 186 now, but I literally felt like a wrecking ball. Be sure to check out the Dulfy guide and the guide on these forums:

From my experience of tanking the Level 60 operations, I'm loving the 3.0 changes to the Immortal spec.

Just some tips:

Aegis Assault is now the replacement ability for Sundering Assault. It gives the same amount of rage (edit: one more rage than Sundering Assault), but also gives a 3% buff to damage reduction and a 3% buff to Shield Absorption. They removed the armour debuff from the tank spec to give people more reason to bring Juggernaut DPS along for ops.

Crushing Blow is now your hardest hitting ability. It also reduces your target's Force/Tech damage by 5%. I always use this after Aegis Assault, as it becomes an AoE ability if you have the Aegis Assault buff.

You should be using Sweeping Slash a LOT more now, due to the 25% damage boost from one of the Juggernaut utilities. I use this when I have excess Rage, even in single target situations. In PvP Sweeping Slash puts a 20% healing debuff on your targets.

Crushing Blow and Smash both hit up to 8 targets now (up from 5) which makes a huge difference when trying to hold agro on multiple enemies.

Smash and Sweeping Slash put a 5% accuracy debuff on targets (which essentially buffs your defense chance by 5%)

With Retaliation, although it's now on the GCD, it hits much harder! As in 2.0, Retaliation grants a 5% buff to defense chance.

Hope you come to enjoy the changes :)

Actually it gives 1 more rage/focus than Sundering used to.

For burning Rage/Focus on a single target use SLASH. It does more damage than Sweeping Slash does. Sweeping Slash only performs better if there are 2+ targets to hit.

Yeah it takes some getting used to but it actually seems like Riposte being on the GCD has helped us more than it hurt us. Aside from some QOL issues the change caused I'm starting to appreciate it more and more.

I know pre 3.0 Vicious Slash did more damage, but I was under the impression that with the 25% damage boost it actually hits harder per target than Vicious Slash does? I've also found Sweeping Slash deals slightly more threat than Vicious Slash also, so it's more useful using it to keep agro on targets. But yeah, using Vicious Slash when you have excess rage is a good idea.

I wondered about this myself when 3.0 launched. On a single target, Slash outperforms Cyclone Slash. If CS crits and Slash doesn't then the threat is extremely close. Crit vs Crit, and hit vs hit Slash does better. Due to talents CS crits more often, mine tend to crit 35%-42% of the time while Slash is 14%-19%, but its not enough to justify using it on single targets.

A non-crit CS generates 2200-2500 threat

A non-crit Slash generates 3000-3400 threat

ummmmm the Op is talking about an IMMORTAL JUGG, not a Veng or Rage Jugg.

I don't like Retaliation/Riposte being on the GCD now. It feels like Slash with a cooldown, which makes no sense. Should roll it into Slash damage - would free up some keybinds.

The entire idea behind Retaliation/Riposte is that you avoid an incoming blow and utilize the momentary weakness in your opponent's defense to do immediate damage (off the GCD). With the horribly long GCD, the ability not only makes no sense now, it also feels horribly clunky.

Should have removed it. It's nothing but bloat now.
