PadsterPwns
Yes it's another one Any one got any advice? I've got a cybertech but I don't know what to choose for a smuggler? Thanks to any one who replies
Khevar
I picked Armstech due to Corso's +5 critical chance on crafting. I like being able to craft 1-47 barrels for my toons (and companions) while leveling, and I've made decent money crafting endgame barrels. With some of the recent changes, I believe that Overkill Augments and Accuracy Augments are going to be more popular than they were before 3.0, so that's another good thing for an Armstech. How often do barrels sell? Also how much does it cost to make augments (top end) and can we make aug-kits?
Khevar
How often do barrels sell? Also how much does it cost to make augments (top end) and can we make aug-kits? It fluctuates, but so long as I keep multiple barrels listed at multiple tiers of gear, I can sell several per day. Keep an eye out for any upcoming double-xp weekends, as demand goes up. 1. During the event, level 11-40 barrels sell like hotcakes 2. After the event, a new crop of max-level toons need augment and augmentation kits. If you have a toon with Slicing, your augment overhead is drastically reduced. If you have to buy the raw materials (Adaptive Circuitry), it's generally much harder to make a profit. And yes, Armstech can make augmentation kits. Edited December 10, 2014 by Khevar

From what you just put I can't understand why people sneer at armstech... Would you recommend slicing while leveling then taking investigation or taking investigation from the start? Khevar
Would you recommend slicing while leveling then taking investigation or taking investigation from the start? Well, here's where my advice might kinda fall flat. I don't try and make money on crafting while leveling. I do 3x gathering skills and either keep the mats for later or sell them for an instant profit. Any crafting skill requires a serious investment in time to make and reverse engineer schematics, and whenever I try to do that while leveling, it ends up being a money sink. Once you've unlocked 5 companions (level 48 I believe) it is much easier to level the crafting side of things. TL;DR: Deal in mats while leveling, deal in crafting when finished leveling Edited December 10, 2014 by Khevar

Thanks a lot for all the advice, hopefully we will meet in game at some point or at least be crafting rivals
