another patch and ...

So today there was another patch, and things like Gsf, Decorations, and achievements continue to be broken, just wondering if we have a time line on when any of the 3 or 4 dozen different things that were broken with the release of 3.0, might become fixed.

I realize not everyone cares about the above mentioned topics, but many players do, the strongholds for example have had a ridiculous amount of decorations become unusable and missing.

Gsf is pretty much broken now that some upgrades May or May not apply to that persons ship, and you wont know it till you are not seeing the effect on the enemy.

Achievements... many people love to farm achievements it gives another goal for when you've finished clearing the newly released content, however what we do not like is for the achievements that we have earned to be reset on us, nar shadaa nightlife is Still broken, I don't even remember how long its been now. Hidden achievements on the new planets continue to reset daily. There is more, but im just naming a few here.

the game is playable and for that I am happy, I would just like to see a little shout out from your end on when things might be fixed, so that we can enjoy all aspects of the game again, not just the two new raids. (which still don't drop all the loot or drops the wrong loot, and has bugged bosses) for a couple weeks.

cheers.

but people trading their pvp mods was such a game breaking problem!! that couldnt wait till next wee with the unimportant things. the basic com vendor is broken, if you buy the wrong thing and try to sell it back, you do not get your coms back, you do not get credits, it doesnt even refuse to take it back. you get nothing. I dont expect to see that fixed anytime this year.

I would assume this only happens if your over the 1000 comm limit, as mine have been refunded!

If you want to have something fixed by Bioware, than you have to QQ more in the forums. It has worked with removal of ability costs, chest farmers on Rishi and the totally irrelevant tree quest....

Their bugfix priority list is obviously ordered by the amount of forum tears.

I know how hard development and testing can be. So I'm not usually in the "why isn't this bug fixed NOW" group, and things get patched as they get fixed.

But really? With all the things broken in the game right now, they bring down the servers for THIS? Insane.

I suppose setting a flag on a few items that says "Bind on Pickup" instead of "Bind on Equip" requires far less testing than finding and fixing some other bugs.

And as much as I love GSF, those non-functioning abilities are not really game-breaking, considering that lots of veterans organize stock nights. And those players that claim that gear and not skill matters in GSF can now try and see if that holds true. :)

Joking aside, there are some things that can be changed easily, some things that are a quite difficult and then lots of things that appear to be easy but turn out to be a nightmare to change. (Speaking from experience here.)

The GSF fixes are currently scheduled for 3.0.1, so I guess they didn't fall into the third category.

Regarding the other issues, giving a timeline for bugfixes is not really realistic. Sometimes you start looking for a bug and realize it's not as easy as you thought, so you will have to focus on other issues first instead of spending several hours or days on one issue. And Bioware will usually not show us their priority list (imagine the forum going up in flames). I'm actually amazed that they wrote a dev post last week with the fixes that were planned and implemented with 3.0.0a yesterday.

GG, Bioware -- people trading comms is FAR more damaging to the overall game experience than broken vendors.

Well actually... it is.

To be more precise, it is far more damaging to the game economy, which in turn is damaging to the overall game experience.

And something that people here (as usual) seem to forget is that different bugs take a varying time to fix.

It's not like they can fix all bugs in one day and then sit there planning on which bug fixes to release when.

They fix what they can and if it is determined to be worthy of an emergency patch (usually only things that are exploitative, and this was one) they patch it as soon as they can, if it is determined to be a non-emergency (and yes, those things you listed are pretty non-emergency even though they affect you personally) then they patch it on the next patch day after that bug is fixed.

After 3 years, have we not come to expect this? This has always been an issue in this game. (The only game I have ever played that does not do this is FFXIV ARR. ) Bioware takes a long time to 1) fix bugs, and 2) test content. I think the company wanted to release the expansion before it was ready (seems like the launch problems too). What happens is the game is unplayable for some yet playable for others.

I do not know if this is a man-power issue or a process issue. Hopefully, the issues will be fixed soon but I think we should not get our hopes up.

Honestly, I'd rather BioWare took the servers down a little more frequently for a shorter period of time, to fix the plethora of bugs that have been introduced with 3.0. Instead of waiting for the weekly downtime.

I'd rather see the fixes out in the game.

Regarding the GSF fix, they've already announced that it's going through the QA process, and they expect it to be ready for 3.0.1

They HOPE...:

2.) When can we expect a fix?

As of this moment the fix is slated for 3.0.1 but it hasn't gone through QA approval yet so if they find issues there is potential for a delay.

Yes because breaking what is essentially PvP gear progression is not a big deal, making getting BiS a matter of credit is not something that should be addressed as fast as possible...

There was no QQ or tears in my original post, it was me in search of information, if you hadn't noticed I mentioned all aspects of the game, not just the one that I am concerned with, I want my friends to be able to have fun in what they enjoy as well.

there was no "fix this or I quit" or "I want a refund now" I even stated im happy to be playing the game, just be a lot happier if things so many of us had dumped so much time into already, worked.

cheers.

pvpers have been trading coms back and forth wholesale for a year. neither pvp nor the game as a whole blew up and died. Bw fixes bugs when they want to, and most bugs they just dont choose to fix. the UI breaking when some people zone...been broken since pre release. not fixed. too many others to mention. they fix bugs that benefit players, not the other way around. early access was a farce. rishii was pretty much unplayable for many people. the meat tree should have been fixed with a hot patch. dev communication was pretty much in a business as usual mode, during the final beta week for their expansion. shadowlands server went down saturday and was left broken till sunday. there were only 3 rishii instances with 100+ people in them and it had horrible server lag. this has not been a stellar week for BW.

I "listed" one thing -- I am not the OP.

As for game economy... eh, more like "economy".
