$99 14500 Cartel Coin Deal

It looks like a deal, but it isn't. You end up purchasing two 5500 packs for $80 an a 2400 pack for $20, receiving a bonus/free 1100 coins that only raises the dollar per coin ratio by 30 or so. I'm not saying it isn't a good purchase. I'm just saying it isn't a deal unless you have a reason to buy in bulk.

An example if you wanted to transfer 7 or 8 characters or were looking to spend $200 to get all the cartel you actually wanted. It would be helpful in those. But the fact remains that as a deal you could make this purchase an the very next day they could offer double cartel coin deals without advertising it in the slightest.

The Cartel Market works the very same way, no idea of when an what will be on sale, or more importantly what will be taken away an added back. You could spend some coins on something an the next day it's on sale for 50%. Is it a scam or is it just brilliant marketing? Be warned an be careful with your money an cartel coins.

the purchase of coins are independent of what you can purchase with said coins.

You can buy:

1) 14,500 for $99 or .0068275 per coin

2) 5500 for $40 or .00727 per coin

3) 2400 for $20 or .008333 per coin

between 1 and 2 it is about 6% discount

between 2 and 3 it is 14% discount

in other words

to get same amount of coins @$20 you would need 6.04 purchases (6*20 = $120 6*2400 = 14400 coins)

@$40 2.64 purchases (2.64 * 40 = $105.6 = 14520)

So to get 14500 coins you can spend $120, $105 or $99

Which would you rather spend?

I was planning on purchasing a large amount of cartel coins but the changes in 3.0 are so big I don't feel that I want to pay for virtual items for this 3.0 game. Which is not the game that I had grown to love. Edited by Vashgud

The cause for the confusion likely is that you can get the 14.5k CCs only through ingame purchase, not through the homepage.

Yes, you can. I only buy through the homepage. However, the option only appears when trying to buy the 35€ one and probably only if you have bought enough CCs.

I can buy it on my main account, but not on my second account.

In any case, the deal is available for Europe as well, though apperantly limited.

Browsing the US amazon website, it appears the US has all the CC packages available via amazon, whereas Germany only got one.

Huh, I didn't know that, thanks for clearing that up.

Large, funny coloured walls of text are hard to read and annoying, stop it.

What is the OP moaning about?

You get 1,100 free coins but he thinks that isn't a deal? Well otherwise you get 1,100 less so is it a deal? Yes it is other Barry, yes it is.

The Cartel Market might have a better deal tomorrow or an item at half price tomorrow and they don't tell you? He must get really annoyed when he walks into WallMart and sees the chocolate covered potato chips are on offer after he bought 20 bags just last week.
