Otiveht
Like the topic says. Is BioWare just comfortable with the amount of player base their servers can handle? So when, like now with 3.0, there is a bunch of hype players and their servers take a ****, is the commitment in their product there to support that? Or are they just going to let it ride and be fine with the low amount of players they normally have once the hype goes away?

So they clearly aren't comfortable with something...
JimG
You just described every MMO. Every one of these games has an increase of returning players becoming active again for a few weeks when a new expansion comes out. No game developer is going to make long-term changes to server capacity to handle a few weeks of increased traffic. They gave a knee-jerk reaction during the initial launch and created all these extra servers and then had to go through the whole server merge process. They learned their lesson after that. I don't understand why IF the servers aren't actually full (showing less than peak) the game still suffers intense lag spikes for some.. I bout the game as a preorder .. bought hutt cartel .. have preordered SoR and every time have at least paid for a month sub (I played 6 to 8 months when the game was new).. but feel the need to keep giving up on a game I really want to love because of lag issues that never seem to go away.. Played for free this time before purchasing anything .. no lag .. paid to by Treek to make my leveling with my JKs and my BH healers easier and bought SoR .. Now again lag spikes making the game unbearable... not quitting YET and giving them a chance to fix it but won't hesitate if necessary to do so.. I do like the game concept but the game itself has issues that I remember from Beta and head start at opening of the MMO

Vashgud
The current trajectory is that of SWG post CU / NGE right now because we are on that same merry go round of reductions that was already proven a design failure of epic proportions. History seems to loop itself somehow. As we stray from the original product so far the mirage in the desert changes and it metamorphosis into another entire different game so then how do you plan to raise funds and players when you change cause it's never worked before. Devs need to stop looking at wow and open there eye's the mmo industry as a whole and what customers want.
