Defense guardian. What is the point of "Stasis Mastery" after the changes to stasis?

Somebody explain something for me, before I post it to the bug forums.

Defense guardians have an discipline point called "stasis mastery". It basically removed the need to channel force stasis.

But with 3.0 the need for a channel on force stasis was removed anyway for all knights, so what is the actual POINT of this passive power anymore?

It actually only made the Channel 1.5s and it allows you to move. the point of it is, for easy 4 focus with a 4s Hard Stun, with the 1.5s channel you cant use any other attacks. Most people would use Force Stasis > Master Strike for more damage as a Tank Guardian or Pommel Strike > Master Strike.

....no.

Stasis works exactly the same for tanks and DPS now, the only thing Stasis Mastery does now is remove the animation of the channel, the channel still allows DPS to move.

No channel, as far as I can tell (which I guess means it can be interrupted for DPS). All in all I actually prefer the tank implementation of it over the DPS version. I think the warrior looks a bit stupid particularly the way the model is articulated when he does it as a DPS. The tank ones feels more natural and fluid

I agree with this as for the animation preference. And interrupts do nothing to the channel, tested it with someone else (well they stop the channel, but the full stun and damage still go off). Also the tank version DOES still last 4 seconds even though it says 3 in the tooltip, all it does is remove the channel animation.

Strange. When I timed it it came in just under 3 seconds but I've been experiencing some really bad lag and ability delay since the patch so that could have been the cause.

I tested it 3 days ago and only did about 2 tests, also let the guildie check the time, so I could be mistaken, I'll take another look at it today.

EDIT: Tested again just now, it is DEFINITELY 4 seconds for tanks as well, its only the tooltip that says 3.

Good to know, and thanks for double checking. Given how bad my ability delay has sometimes been since 3.0 hit I can certainly believe me test was off.
