Nairolfus
So, I made a dozen battlegrounds since I hit level 60. I will not sugarcoat it, Bioware managed to make commando even more terrible. Seriously, I never felt so bad and useless before. My stomach actually hurt to see the class I love and mastered for so long getting stomped into dust by all the roflrollface juggs-PT-sorcerers crew. You have basically less damages, less heal, less mobility, less survivability than any other class. I sticked to commando since the launch of the game and was alway "proud" to maintain a good performance despite the weakness of my class ( I had 2050 solo rating during season 2, per exemple ) but now I'm seriously considering to switch to vanguard. This is the only logical explanation I see, bioware want you to switch class or go heal ( wich seem the only viable option in pvp for a commando / merc right now ). PS : Sorry for my bad english, I'm non-native speaker and the fact I write this in anger doesn't help. Transcendent
By doing that, u are helping them to ruin this game How so? I'm normally all over PvP for levelling. This time though I think I wandered into PvP exactly once on my merc before deciding it's a lost cause. I'd rather PvP on my PT, it's much more fun and I don't die as fast. BenitsubasaChiyo
less mobility Sorry, what? Sticky Grenade - Bolstorm (while moving, of course) - Vortex Bolt - Grav Round (VB proc) ==> Curtain of Fire proc - Bolstorm - extra Grav Round via Tech Override to build your Charged Barrel stacks - {Plasma Grenade (once again, via Tech Override), if you feel like including it in your rotation and picked Overclock utility from Heroic tier} - Demo Round - High Impact Bolt ...and mind you, it's not even a rotation, just a list of things you can do without having to stop for a second. Only after that you do stop to cast a Grav or two, and since 8 seconds most likely, already passed, it'll take only one Grav to proc Boltstorm and keep moving. By this very moment, only a few seconds separate you from another Sticky Greande + VB + GR combo. With all these changes I feel more mobile than ever before. And frankly, casting is not a problem. The lack of leap immunity is, however. But that isn't something new, right? less survivability Not like we had any before, so nothing new here as well. Also, DPS Operatives would like to have a word with you. less heal As far as I know, they took away all the big heals from hybrid dps/heals classes, including Sages/Scoundrels. Well, cba to look up Sage changes, but Scoundrels no longer have Underworld Medicine. But I agree, losing Kolto Bomb kinda sucks. less damages Dunno, I've been getting 13-15k hits quite often since Friday when I got my hands on full Exhumed set. Problem is, right now it feels like my damage essentially stayed on the same level as pre-3.0 compared to other classes, not in any way worse though. But let's wait until people have properly min-maxed and augmented their stuff. TL;DR Looks like you had a bad day in pvp and decided to come here and qq a bit. Here's a small reality check for you - not much has changed for us: we're still gimped and ultra-squishy compared to other dps classes, yet fun to play nevertheless (at least I'd like to think so) Have fun and good hunting. Nairolfus
Sorry, what? Yeah, I don't say we're not mobile, I say we have less mobility than any other class ( except snipers, thanks god...) Of course they gave us better instant skills, but they also gave PT / VG faster immuability, shien jugg / gardians have shorter cooldown on force leap, etc, etc... As far as I know, they took away all the big heals from hybrid dps/heals classes, including Sages/Scoundrels. I made a few duels with a balance sage, I did 140k damages and 40k healing on average, while he did 120k damage and 100k healing. I don't know how dps op/scoundrels are doing, but having instant hots seem great ... Looks like you had a bad day in pvp and decided to come here and qq a bit. You might be right. I don't stop moving. EVER. I'm not 60 yet, but my survivability is quite good, my dps is usually in the top 3, and I love how its changed. Maybe 60 is different, but I'm enjoying my merc a lot now. Nightkin
Mobility is much improved as is the mechanic but the survivability is still in shambles. The kolto missile never really saved us much but trading a instant aoe heal on 6 second cd vs a single target heal thats only slightly stronger but on a 20 sec cooldown just destroyed a lot of our utility. Gorillazy
Your wearing proper PvP gear with expertise right? I've only seen massive improvements on commandos with 3.0 we aren't perfect but we're far more viable with a boost in mobility and all these sweet proc abilities you can chain together. Running arsenal/gunnery I am seeing about a 40% drop off compared to 2.10 and yes IM in the new pvp gear. Part of that is the loss of medical probe and the fact it had no cooldown. I could use tech overrides (cant remember the imp version atm) and pop it twice instantly. With adv. medical probe and its cooldown tech overrides is pretty much useless to me to keep myself alive. Sorc on the otherhand doesnt have this issue they still have no cool down on their charged heal for the dps side of things. Im not certain about op/smuggler since I dont play one. Glower
Im not certain about op/smuggler since I dont play one. In same boat with mercs, but they have these medical probes as HoTs healing vs our crappies free pew-pew heals (who the hell will use them for healing in combat as dps? ). So only sorcs... and juggs can h2f in 3.0. Edited December 16, 2014 by Glower
