Nightmare EC impossible with 3.0?

On Kephess, intial three droids that have to be downed, have a calibrating shot buff that needs to be interrupted. With 3.0, interrupt times were increased. Which makes merc's interreupt cooldown time exessive compared to other classes. This part of this battle was already tight enough with interrupts before 3.0. Now, its not fun running this operation with an 8 man group.

I remember working on that fight when it first came out. Because some of our group were terrible with interrupts, we would often end up with droids having a few stacks. Despite that, we could still kill them (wearing 146/150 gear).

 

3 mercs on one droid would have all of their interrupts on CD during every 4th cast, meaning the droids would gain a stack every 24 seconds. Those same 3 mercs should easily be able to kill the Siege droids before the third stack.

Pre-3.0 ops unbeatable with the pointless 3.0 interrupt/cleanse changes? Who could have seen this coming...

 

I'm sure NiM Draxus is also nearly unbeatable unless you can heal through the Mass Afflictions that cannot possibly all be interrupted.

 

NiM draxus, your interrupt had a 60 second cooldown anyway (unless you like killing yourself)

 

Now, NiM Council with the insta-kill deathmarks might be a problem...

Not really. I haven't tested it on Council, but on Nefra when you enter in combat with her CDs on your cleanse are reduced to what they were in 55 lvl (like 4s or something like that). After exiting the combat it's back to 11s.
