That's why DPS/HPS changes as time goes on and burst periods fade. Affliction Warlocks were capable of 1 million DPS in their burst period, but averaged at around 300k. A match that lasts 30 seconds isn't an accurate represensation of Overall DPS, because a match that lasts 30 seconds doesn't have time to average effective DPS. Your attitude is appreciated though. TL;DR = Just because I can burst 40k hp in 10 seconds doesn't mean I have 4k sustained/overall DPS. Cooldowns, procs, actually being allowed to free cast - these are all things to consider. xMaranathax Posted December 20, 2014 Share Posted December 20, 2014 (edited) After looking at the screenshot of Grizz's 2821.19 dps record, (found here), I would think that a player that did over 100k overall damage and received 10 medals while being outnumbered 2 to 1, ALL done within 30 seconds, should be recognized in someway. Hell, I've seen dps on TEH not break 100k in a full match before... As Sindol said, you can verify that match wasn't rigged from the screenshot. From the rules listed, it seems to count.
