My marksmanship PvE/operations early build

Hey all thought I'd start some MM discussion. I'll stay away from discussing why I'm using MM in this first post and focus on what utilities I chose and why. I'll also add I'm mostly loving the changes so far, though laze target on Ambush is still throwing me a bit

 

It's a standard 3-2-2 build no keeping points out of the top tier, and much is out of the old 2.0 MM skill tree. It's also based around using cover still.

 

TIER ONE

Ballistic Dampeners. MM is fairly bursty and threat happens, not to mention it's great when soloing.

 

Snap Shot. Extra burst and it's extra fun. Though if any one has better suggestion I'm all ears.

 

Vital Regulators. This one seemed the best of what are mostly(in my mind) Pvp choices, and I'm not at all attached to them and could easily be convinced to change.

 

 

TIER TWO (where it gets interesting)

Stroke of Genius. Because snipe>cover pulse>snipe>follow through. Try it. This was actually a big part of my old MM/ENG hybrid.

 

Calculated Pursuit. In 2.0 I never moved out of stupid without spamming rifle shot, now I get to trade up for 4 overload shots.

 

TIER THREE

Siege Bunker and Deploy Shields. Both utilise my covet based build, both are classic MM.

Odd..

 

For trash, I go with Ballistic Dampers, Efficient Ammo, Cover Screen, Hotwired Defenses, Hot Pursuit, Riot Screen and Crippling Diversion.

For soloing bosses, I go with Ballistic Dampers, Cool Under Pressure, Snap Shot, Lay Low, Hotwired Defenses, Holed Up and Riot Screen.

For soloing bosses that aren't stun immune, I go with Cover Screen, Snap Shot, Reset Engagement, Heads Up, Hotwired Defenses, Plan B & C and Compounding Impact.

For kiting bosses, I go with Ballistic Dampers, Cover Screen, Snap Shot, Heads Up, Hotwired Defenses (Dirty Trickster if slow and roots are plenty or Hot Pursuit if the damage isn't too high and there is not enough slow/root to needs Dirty Trickster), Hold Your Ground and Holed Up.

For AoE heavy bosses, I go with Ballistic Dampers, Cover Screen, Snap Shot, Hotwired Defenses, Lay Low, Holed Up and Riot Screen.

For 8vs8, I go with Ballistic Dampers, Snap Shot, Reset Engagement, Heads Up, Hotwired Defenses, Compounding Impact and Crippling Diversion.

For yolo, I go with Ballistic Dampers, Snap Shot, Reset Engagement, Hotwired Defenses, Pandemonium, Compounding Impact and Crippling Diversion.

My build is as mentioned optimized for Operations. Certainly I'd probably look into different builds for PvP. But My build is optimized for maximum dps potential where a heals has my back.
