Acito
I just contacted EA support and got a refund due to the Origin Great Game Guarantee. https://www.origin.com/en-us/great-game-guarantee I would urge you all to do the same thing if you are an unhappy customer as well. Psychopyro
Been playing EVE the last few weeks due to being underwhelmed with having purchased the expansion and seeing how it's turning out... Seriously considering leaving as well. Shoot for even as bad as ST:O, EQ, etc are, at least you can hit the level cap with expansion content... STO end game with content... hmmm sure if you mean running the same Patrol. (enemy encounter) 100+ times per level. lol Really though Eve is a great choice if your into PvP... or like your pve with a ting of pvp danger anyway. Manual controls coming right away to. Psychopyro
Really though Eve is a great choice if your into PvP... or like your pve with a ting of pvp danger anyway. Manual controls coming right away to. Yea it's part of the reason I went back.. manual controls have been something that was needed for ... well since launch... it's nice they finally listened... As far as the other games (well all games really), the quests in general are really just reskins of earlier quests, so that does not bother me so much per se... I still hit the cap in ST:O with the new stuff fairly easily (granted I was worried for a bit...lol), but other games, especially EQ, EQ2, shoot even WoW, every expansion you could hit the cap with plenty to spare... I mean even in LOTRO I hit cap half way thru the expansion content.... It's just stupid that the last 2 expansions for this game fail to get a character to the cap on the expansion content alone.... CaliOrion
Did you have to email them or what? I read over it, and it seems to say expansion stuff is specifically excluded from the guarantee (and there's no "Request Refund" button I can see in my order summary.) I would LOVE to get my money back on this expansion, if it's actually possible.

LordArtemis
I can understand your frustrations, and would not stand in the way of your right to demand a refund if you wish. I only ask that you consider holding off on making any permanent decisions for at least a few weeks...just give the discipline system a real shake. You can of course do as you wish. I hope you all chose to stay.

OddballEasyEight
actually he said in another thread he quit WoW for a change that is apparently similar to disciplines so that is why he is unsatisfied But then he's not unsatisfied with the expansion... he's unsatisfied with patch 3.0... Hence he should have no refund on the expansion.
menofhorror
Look people if many don`t like the changes than you should try to understand them except of trolling. Many have valid criticism and only trough complaints and criticism we can change something
OddballEasyEight
Look people if many don`t like the changes than you should try to understand them except of trolling. Many have valid criticism and only trough complaints and criticism we can change something Define "many". Oh and while you're at it, go ahead and define "valid criticism" because that is a WILDLY debatable definition. So far the only people I've seen complaining about the changes in patch 3.0 (because this isn't about the expansion) were the people playing Hybrids. And since Bioware have repeatedly stated that they don't want hybrids, nor can they balance for hybrids, I think people are just whining out of selfish reasons and nothing else. Sure, some try to hide it behind "you're taking away the choice" and other soundbytes, but it always boils down to someone being upset that they can't use their hybrids. Oh, of course, there's also the moro... eeh... "individuals" that only see that their damage has been reduced and completely miss everything else, but you can't expect moro... umm... "them" to be reasoned with since they've only focused on one thing and ignored everything around that.
Costello
Im pretty sure you wont get any money back as it will be counted as a dlc. What it might do is show a certain level of dissatisfaction with the expansion. I have seen posts saying it was a lot of money for some people others that it was cheap each to their own. Personally I'm not fussed with a refund but when you consider just how little content is on offer it is a little disappointing. What I would really like to know is if this is the future of content or are bigger things planned. Over a year since Makeb and we have GSF which if you don't like PvP isn't for you, Strongholds which is what it is and SoR. ToR has done well to maintain the subs it has really, and now with 3.0 all that gear that took so many play throughs of the dread stuff on the various difficulties has been easily replaced by basic com gear. It would have been nice if there had been a little more non high end ops content to use it in before it became junk.
DataBeaver
You know, disciplines were officially announced on the same day as the expansion. Maybe you shouldn't have spent your money on something you probably would not like. Also, did you use 12x XP to level any characters? If so, you've already benefited from your preorder and a full refund would mean you got that benefit for free. vermura
This expansion is a mixed bag. Some stuff is great while other stuff is worse then awful. Unfortunately, it's the awful that's got me not wanting to resub. With the pace problems get fixed in this game (i.e. annually...) I simply have no faith that things will be working properly. Early access has been completely wrecked for me by the bugs with the Enemy within quest. I seriously don't even want to login and it's only the first day. My sub expires soon and there is absolutely no reason to renew it when I can't even complete the expansion quest line. When I unsubbed last time it took like 12 months before I returned again, I expect this will be same. Learn to test your expansions before inflicting your buggy **** upon your customers. Bioware was a company I used to respect. Not any more. Edited December 3, 2014 by vermura
cashep
Then it sounds like you are set, why are you here debating the issue? Go get your measly $20 back and drop the game. It's that simple. I'm not going to convince you to stay, you simple don't matter that much. Kids don't get it. Like this guy I qouted. when enough people are gone, you got no game. Look at SWTOR at launch and then today. he and every other player MATTER !!

I was at first pissed off about many features and still am but it's gotten better I will say now that I put a little time on it but nerfing this game like so has made it less attracting I don't feel it should be so easy for everyone to be the same but it's too late now
KyaniteD
hahahahaha... good luck with that. He said he got the refund. So what does he need luck for? @OP: Thanks for the info that it is apparently covered. I had to cancel on a different account and went with the credit card path after what I read on the website sounded like it wouldn't be covered and telephone support was stumped. The 12x exp is what everyone paid for and I am sure everyone utilized that exp time too. I am just extremely unhappy about taking away the ability to build hybrids that are not shared online to suit your style of fighting and should not be punished because someone does not build the same or know a way to defend from it.
