MeoTwister
So we all know that planetary comms got switched to basics at 3x. When I started a new alt I noticed that a quest that used to give 1 planetary also gave 1 basic and the prices of comm gear in older planets remained the same. I'm assuming this is intended but wouldn't this give a pretty big disparity in gearing capacity between a new character thats just starting and an older one who already had characters with large comm reserves? I mean that people with old characters already have huge advantages in gearing new characters since their comm count got bumped yet the prices remained the same. Shouldn't either the rewards or the prices of older planetary gear have been scaled to at least balance it?
Psychopyro
No, this is something we'd been asking for since launch when planetary comms were planet based... The problem is 100 comms was barely enough for a full set of gear (you need 95). You could not get 100 on 1 planet unless you ground mobs and got lucky (at which point you still out leveled the planet). And to top it off, you could not get enough to gear a companion. While these problems are still there, upping the required amount of comms makes the problem much worse. Quests (AFAIK) still only give 1 basic comm per quest (unless it is a heroic, then 2 or 3). It's just too hard to get comms leveling up to justify upping the prices. If anything I think the prices should have been lowered.
