Made it to 50

Thanks for all the help I've gotten from these forums - I dinged level 50 on my Bounty Hunter about an hour before servers came down last night. :D I've got all the companions, that last one Skadge is a bit scary compared to the others.

The XP bump was a big help, I hope Bioware does that kind of thing again. The Belsavis planet was quite difficult, I kept getting lost, found the ancient tunnels a bit confusing. Now I'm doing Voss and after that I'll do Makeb.

I haven't done any Flashpoints or Operations yet. Is it possible to solo those, or are they definitely group only? If they're group only I'll wait till after I'm in a guild with voice chat 'n all that.

It seems my client has finished updating to Revan, so it's time to check out the changes to my Bounty Hunter.

Don't miss out on Corellia (after Voss)! That planet has the last leg of your class story.

Flashpoints and Ops are generally not available for solo players (though most SM FPs can be soloed by a sufficiently overleveled / overgeared character and Dread Palace 8 man SM has been cleared by three people). However, the four tactical flashpoints that constitute the Forged Alliances story line -- Assault on Tython, Korriban Incursion, Depths of Manaan, Legacy of the Rakata -- and the two tactical flashpoints that are part of the SoR storyline -- Blood Hunt and Battle of Rishi -- also have non-repeatable solo versions available in the course of the storyline. Not sure about the two SoR ops, though: there is a way to take on the final boss of the expansion solo, but that might not actually be a solo version of the respective op.

Interesting, didn't know Corelia was coming up. :)

Thanks for the info, it's a pity those solo flashpoints aren't repeatable. I figure a solo option would give players who have no experience with the flashpoints a way to grasp the objectives and enjoy the storyline at their own pace. Maybe that's something they'll implement down the line.

With the new Discipline system, I've chosen the Pyrotech spec, instead of the Shield or Advanced Prototype specs. All that Pyrotech fire should keep me warm while it snows outside, right? For a while, I was worried that the Death From Above attack was gone, until I saw it still working on my hotbars.

I've been working on my companion relationships a bit, and it looks like Mako wants to be Torian's love interest. I wonder how that'll pan out, especially if my Bounty Hunter wants him to herself. :p I've been fighting mostly with Mako because she's a pretty good healer. But now I'm thinking perhaps I should branch out and experiment with the others, see what they bring to the fights.

Mako brings healing.

Blizz and Skadge are your tanks (Blizz is ranged, Skadge is melee).

Torian and Gault are your DPS (Torian is melee, Gault is ranged).

If you're playing DPS, Mako is the best idea to bring along (from a tactical standpoint).

Also, Corellia is the grand finale of your storyline, so make sure to go there after Voss!
