Honokamik
Ok so here goes, I love playing this game however I have a crap laptop (2010 compaq) any suggestions that you have for me? I can barley run it without the window saying not responding( I run it in window mode) I have all graphics turned down as low as possible. Any ideas that will improve the performance of my machine would be helpful. Do I need to restore it to factory defaults or? Thanks in advance guy/gals!!!!! Edit: I also don't have insane internet right now so keep that in mind. anesvik
I would just sell it and blow like 200-300 on a tower. I spent 225 on a new(ish) tower and runs the game perfectly in full screen. That being said I am not a fan of gaming on laptops. On towers, if hardware become outdated an upgrade can be done easy. But I have found that hardware upgrades in laptops are just a pain. And assuming you net is ok, you should look into graphic cards, or updating drivers, etc... But I would just get a tower...easy fix if you game at home. MagikFingerz
Without knowing your specs, I'd say there's a good chance the only solution is to buy a new computer. My 4 year old laptop, which was fairly top of the line when I bought it, only plays it decently at the lowest settings. Getting a new one pretty soon. Fydgett
I played this game and raided in WoW on a tower that was nearly 9 years old before I finally fried the motherboard in it. It honestly played the game better than the Win7 computer that's only 6 years old, though the Win7 comp rarely lags in WoW. I wont game on a laptop simply b/c they aren't as powerful nor easy to swap out parts like a tower. Don't get a slimline tower either, run into the same issues as a laptop, with nothing fitting in it. there's excellent computers for sale on Amazon, I bought one this summer (finally upgraded lol) comparable to an Alienware at 1/3 the cost. Do steer clear of iBuyPower as the reviews weren't very good for that company.
anesvik
troll newegg. there are really good deals. And Acer has been stepping up their game as far as cheap gaming towers go. HP is still lacking although you might get lucky and find a good one. I managed to find a Dell for 250 that runs the game on med settings. But steer clear of Alienware, Outrageous costs for towers that (honestly) you are just paying for a "pretty" PC
