Healers in PvP 3.0

Ok, the OP time of scoundrel / operative is definitely gone. I think the nerf is to extrem and class is now broken for PvP but we cant change anything and we know BW will not change anything.....I only mention the OP time of scoundrel / operative takes a long, long journey from 2.0 on till yet.

So lets talk about the other Healers.....looks like the new TOP Heal for PvP is the sage / consular, with very intressting ways to heal. "Wandering Mend" sound pretty cool, for pvp. Mercenary / Commando seems like the same as we know, only a little bit more powerful with better aoe heal.

What's your opinion?

From hearsay mercs are going to be the golden goose this time around, sorcs/sages in the middle, with operatives taking up the rear.

Dude shush! Let the FOTM types floc to sorc. It was bad enough when people picked up merc after the kolto shell buff, It's super hard to be a hipster healer these days.

The FotM accusations are so tiresome... "Well you just want to play whatever the best healing class is in 3.0..." Who *********** cares??? Is anyones gameplay affected by someone else rolling a different character...

As far as we know, neither merc or sorc healing is going to be over powered, so woopdy *********** doo if a bunch of people go from Op healers to Sorc healers... Who gives a ****???

Personally I think it's a better experience for the community in general if the classes in a match are as diverse as possible.

I agree with you on principle, but I also don't fault people for going to what they think is the best option at the time for their style of play... I also feel like a lot of healers out there that would've preferred to role Merc or Sorc, but felt shoe-horned into Op, will now be able to play what they really want since there's not this one class and then everyone else is a distant second...

I feel like peeling, as a player skill, will now be more important too since the other classes need it more to be effective... Overall, I'm just happy Op healing is nerfed, and I think everyone is better for it and gameplay will be improved... I'm sure there are plenty of Op healers who would disagree with me though...

Dont think so, since i talked with a guy today who played on PTS......we have only another OP healer now....not as much like sabo / scoundrel but enough for the one and only in rated matches.... Edited by Alveran

I'll be playing my Merc Healer in Ranked Season Four. I think the three ACs are actually on a pretty even field now.

Good Operative healers will still be very tough. They did get nerfed hard, but much of their demise is overblown. The good players will still make the spec kick azz.

Op healers were just fine pre 2.0, they were great healers but output was slightly below sorcs. After 2.0 bw completely broke the class. They gave them unlimited energy which made it easier to play and they gave them way too many tactical advantage charges and later the double roll. 2.0 was the point where everyone rolled an op heals. So they buffed a class that was fine where it was.

With the changes they've made in 3.0 it's going to be heavily cast dependent because the aoe has been nerfed into the ground and no more spamming kolto probes on everone. Also they have 0 dps output with explosive probe and orbital strike gone. They won't have enough burst to keep themselves and/or their targets up. Also shield probe and evasion nerf and this class will be squishy with lower utility.

I would say they would be ok if it weren't for the buffing of sins. With cc immunity and great burst your going to see alot more sin/shadows in wz. Probably three or more in every match. The sorceror will have have much higher output and can bubble if attacked by 2 sins. It won't be a picnic for any healer but sorcs will have the best healing. Sorcs can already put out just as much healing as an op they are just more tank dependent. What irks me is I like my op and its completely useless now, they stink at dps and their underpowered healers. I guess we can still guard nodes until help arrives. They should at least buff dps so I can play him in some role. Anyway that's my take. I could be wrong but I doubt it.

I don't know what's going be z best, but I am certainly encouraged enough to try my Seer in PvP again. I like the class overall and it would be nice to have a bit more tools. Middle of the pack is good enough for me tbh. :) Edited by DomiSotto
